“I recommend to avoid this hotel”
Reviewed 6 March 2014

When we have arrived in February into this hotel, the room was really dirty. It looked that even bed sheets were not changed after previous guests as we found a few hairs in our beds. There was a dust and human hair on floor, remains of a tooth paste on bathroom walls, toilet deck was greasy. The fridge, safe box and phone were not working.
We have immediately asked for a new room but we were told that the hotel was fully booked so we needed to wait until our room was cleaned to minimum acceptable level.
Our towels have never been changed through whole of our visit.
I recommend to avoid this hotel as it looks their hygiene standards are not accepteble at all.
In case you go to Langkawi for holiday we I do not recommend to get an accommodation in Kuah as it is very far from any attractions and beaches. As there is no public transport on Langkawi you need to go everywhere by taxi which costs quite a lot of money. I recommend to find an accommodation close to Chenang Beach.

the rooms were average and quite small. but its okay for a decent budget . it has an in house tour operator , for travelling around langkawi and its pretty reasonable. the hotel is close to langwaki parade mall which is good thing because there is nothing much to do in kuah town besides visting the mall.there is also a spa close by which is a good thing. my suggestion would b skip the town entirely and stay the beach.

the staff is very helpful and give you great directions and help you book cabs and tours.

Room is at a different building from the reception, where the building does not have any guarded entrance which made safety becomes a problem. Room was besides a pub and faces the kitchen of the hotel's restaurant, which made it rather noisy at both morning and night. No fridge in the room, and yet this is a 3 star hotel. Wifi only available in the lobby area, not at all in the room. Saw HAIRS inside the breakfast provided by hotel, which was really disgusted, and the food tasted bad. The sink in the room's toilet was leaking. Overall, price is reasonable, but you definitely can get a better hotel with the same price you paid for this hotel. I will not choose this hotel again.

Room Tip: Request for a change of room if you are allocated to the annexe building, where you need to walk a d...

This Bahagia hotel located in the Kuah town with shopping mall nearby. Honestly its just a budget hotel and dont prefer you may get a luxury hotel services. Firstly, dont expect too much if you wish read my review or you prefer to stay somewhere nearby the seaside /beach for the trip to Langkawi.

Remember Bahagia wouldn't chance you feel "bahagia" (malay) if you wish get extreme good service...Its just a budget hotel or so call classy guest house for me...

Overall i did conclude that the front office staff were quite unfriendly just like you are not welcome check-in on B.H. showing a face don't expect too much while paying MYR80/night (where i book from a local tourism travel hotelroom page). Besides, the hotel never give you advance notice that the renovation in progress and just let you explore to the danger may lay risk you up.

B.H. is expand the lift chance to two unit and build a new cafe for guest comfort but the construction site is too-exposure to danger without partition close-up. Be remember safely at all if you want stay here. Rooms are clean, small and quite noisy, definitely can hear the people walking at the corridor and sound of the air-cond. The bathroom just simple for shower only but overall its clean and old. Thus room though small was reasonably priced.

But unexpectable found that reception staff very helpful and friendly when you need a taxi/transport/travel tour services whenever needed. The hotel provided a breakfast which was tasty enough with few variety, at least looking at the residents tucking in. Lucky throughout my stay and found a restaurant a few doors away that provided some really tasty seafood and local cuisine. Would be happy to stay here again of its reasonably priced.

Besides, do bear in mind the Bahagia convenience store/shop's cashier is abit lie where I did face that the 1.5L drinking water (F&X famous beverage brand) is sold for MYR2.00/btl at night and double-increase to MYR4.00/btl at daytime. So please bear in mind keep your receipt for future need when you need to argue the price as like me.

Room Tip: Asking for 3rd floor room. (Avoid road traffic sound and chance to have cove view room)

Stayed for 4 nights. Only wifi in the lobby. Food selection limited n I saw roaches on their room n food everyday. Room very small. One night hotel is out of electricity and when we inquire at the reception they thought only the lift is not working. Definitely not coming again.
