We're budget travellers but decided to splurge a little on our last night in Langkawi. Prices are a little higher than other places, but the large portions and unique flavors make up for it. The beers are reasonably priced and the food was delicious (dory fish and thai green curry). Warm, friendly staff and the owner came out to greet each table. Relaxing and interesting decor.

After reading the good reviews we decided to try this restaurant. Arrived at about 7pm and found the restaurant really hot and stuffy. There were lots of ceiling fans, but no air-conditioning, which would be fine for an open air restaurant, but this one was enclosed. We nearly walked out, but had already ordered our drinks. It did cool down a bit after sunset. The food was ok, suitable for the western palette, not spicy, I would have preferred more spice and it was not particularly authentic. The Tom Yam Soup was ok. The Thai spring rolls seemed to have come pre-made straight out of the freezer. The Dory fish was ok, but seemed a bit under cooked, also not sure if it was frozen first. Thai yellow prawn curry was ok, again frozen prawns. All was served well by the kitchen staff and well presented. By about 7:45pm the restaurant was busy with mainly western tourists, which I suppose is a good sign. As we have not found many good restaurants along Pantai Cenang, this one is worth a quick look. However, once is enough, we will not be going back.

We opted for here after the usual tourist walking undecided search for a place for dinner on seating the waitress was attentive with drinks and menus arriving in quick time.We opted for unas chicken curry which was excellent tasty and spicy just as we like it you can have less spice you are asked this on ordering.A good value meal would return without hesitation give it a try you will not be disappointed.

The food was amazing, the service and friendliness of the owner was outstanding.
We ate here the last 2 nights of our trip, and would have kept coming if we'd only had more nights.
Well done!

This is a place that provides very good food in a nice environment and seems correctly confident in itself.

We opted for just main courses which proved the right decision as we were too full to finish either. My main course of Nyonya chicken curry was good rather than excellent and I enjoyed it. The winner though was the John Dory fish my wife had which was outstanding. Done in a delicious yellow curry it was meaty, tender and plentiful.

The service is generally excellent. The lady who obviously runs the place is quirky but very well thought of by returning customers. Indeed, the John Dory was her recommendation.

The fact the place was packed tells its own story - give it a go!
