We stayed during LIMA so most of the island was booked up with people on business, but that meant the area was not too crowded with tourists. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful with booking tours, calling taxis, and catering to special requests. We always had a table at NAM, the deservedly well rated restaurant on the premises. Breakfast was placed in our room the evening before so we could eat at our leisure. The meal consisted of fresh bread, yogurt, coffee, tea, fruit, and a breakfast dessert that kept us full until well after noon, and we have American appetites for breakfast.
It's a walk to the beach, but it's not too far and the nearest beach was beautiful and clean. Bon Ton is also an animal rescue center and there are cats everywhere, but unless you're deathly allergic to them or loathe them they shouldn't be a problem. There wasn't a phone in the room and the free wifi was spotty and most accessible from the main building, but we weren't looking for a place to stay connected with the world.
Bon Ton's staff made our trip to Langkawi and I would be hard pressed to stay elsewhere if I had the opportunity to return.More
