Located at Kuah town, near to kuah jetty where you can go for island hopping & pulau payar snorkeling trip. There are also a few duty free shops nearby where you can do shopping. We booked the family suite which accommodates 5 people at a rate of rm150/night. This is really a great deal as everything is good in the hotel, the room and the staff. However, Kuah town itself is not a very happening area, so for those who prefer night life or somewhere more happening, maybe this is not the place for you. =)

A truly great experience. So amazed with the price and quality. With this kind of rooms, they could have easily charged more, but they didn't. Instead of staying in cenang which was our original plan, we prolonged our stay at azio. We had rented a car so it wasn't a problem to move about from kuah to cenang. The bed is fantabulous! This is a must try!

The hotel is pretty much new located in Kuah town, right in the middle of lots of shopping malls. The night flea market is held twice exactly opposite the hotel - nothing spectacular for a market but worth a visit if you're close by.

The room is not big but is good enough size wise for a short stay. Amenities in room are good, bed is comfy, small lcd with some good channels, fast broadband internet (you need to pay 8MYR per stay for the data cable, fair enough), room slippers, a/c, bathroom with good powered shower and hair dryer. Free wifi is available in the lobby.
However room lacked a small wardrobe which is quite inconvenient and a fridge. Have stayed in smaller rooms in Singapore which had a wardrobe and a fridge. A/C leaked a little bit and sometimes in the bathroom the ceiling leaked some drops of water from the room above I guess - nothing to worry about.

I advise you to rent a car to go around the island.

Had unexpectedly nice stay in Azio. Rooms are new and clean; staff helpful- thanks to them we found out about the nice beach very close to city- and since no one else got there, it was privately ours :); beds are comfortable; sheets& towels clean and spotless white.
It's definitely a place to come and crash into after a long days outdoors; Kuah itself is not interesting, as stated by others before, but there's plenty to do in the island to get you tired by the end of the day.
The only downside of our stay were the noises from the hall which really affected the sleep quality. Since our stay was shortly before Chinese New Year, there were plenty of Chinese guests who just kept on screaming in the hallway all a way until night. Also, not properly closed doors (and the Chinese left them plenty) make terrible sound! If only these could be changed + some place to hang your clothes on, we'd give 5 out of 5.
Last but not least, in case you're afraid of rats, watch out in front of the hotel- there's plenty of them!

We got lost looking for the hotel as it was not located in our GPS and the hotel staff actually called us when we were driving around the town area and directed us to the hotel. The location is near town, so can just walk out for food and for weekend night market its just around the corner. Although its a 2 star, they provided clean white sheets, LCD TV with Astro, Hot and cold shower and even travel sets of toothbrushes. No fridge, hot and cold water dispenser was at the end of the hall. We had a Standard room, added an extra bed and it was really a proper bed with thick mattress and all, not some fold up stretcher with a mattress so it was really good. Downside is you can hear the sounds of people walking the corridor in the morning and kids screaming. Bathroom door is the type you cant lock but its ok, water pressure was good. The TV is in one corner of the room high up so the other end would not have a good view. The toilets for public use outside the room is really clean. 1 thing though, it located 1st floor and only got 1 exit so you need to climb up the stairs which is not so practical for old people. For a 2 night stay, we paid RM190 + RM50 for extra bed for 2 nights so total RM240 which we find its good enough for budget hotel if you are out all the time. They do provide 2 keys to a room and its quite useful when 1 person want to sleep and another goes out, can still access the room without waking up the sleeping person. The duty free shops around the area and directly under the hotel so its quite convenient and price is also cheaper compared to those sold at the airport esp for liquer. Overall, good experience.
