Like many tourists visiting Langkawi we took a ride on the cable car which is well worth it (if you can avoid it at peak crowd times). An unexpected delight of this trip was Tweenz Corner in the food court at the oriental village which, at first glance at least, didn't look much cop.
One give away was that most of the locals and workers were eating there and we had a delicious meal. We were helped along by the delightful serving ladies, their English was just about good enough to help us with our choice and keep trying to force seconds on us.
The food was basic but deliciously spiced and lots of fish, chicken and vegetables. For the two of us to eat and drink our fill it came to the princely sum of about two pounds!
