“Not much fruits to see and taste in June”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

Very disappointed, as there were not many fruits available to see and taste in June. Nothing much to see as the fruits were probably not matured yet. We only got to eat honey dew & watermelon (so pathetic!). Not much information on the many types of fruit plantation there too. Tour lasted around 20mnts. I suggest to call before going, to check what fruits are available to see and taste.

“Learn organic farming & taste local fruits here!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

I was so in loved with this place when I visited in April. The tour allowed me to learn about organic farming for the tropical fruits - which are my favourite. Included in the tour is the fruit buffet.

I just wish that I'd be able to go again during the fruit season - I bet there will be more selection of fruits to taste for the buffet!!!

“Whirlwind tour”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

We visited the park as a family group. We found this to be quite a whirlwind tour, and while our guide was delightful she was not at all informative so we left knowing as little as we knew on the way in. We hadn't accurately anticipated the format of our visit, not realising that we would be ushered in, onto a vehicle, stop to eat fruit, then a quick drive through the park and back to the souvenir shop at the exit. This place has serious potential as a learning destination for locals, school children and international visitors, but it isn't quite there yet. Despite the ruch, we did enjoy our visit.

“Commendable effort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014 via mobile

We have been wanting to see the inside of this park as MARDI is known for research in agriculture. The entrance fee is reasonably low for locals. For that we can ride around the park with the tour tram with the guide explaining the various tropical fruits being planted in the area. The park is a bit hilly, hence the tram has to go round several bends to get to the various parts of the park. The stopover at the fruit tasting station was a real treat. Fruits of the seasons are offered to visitors buffet style. The various eating spots around the stopover area makes the experience low entrance fee even more worthwhile. t is just like enjoying the fruits in your won garden. The guide was friendly cheerful. Recommended.
