Kampung Tok Senik Resort Langkawi

The place is far from beaches. Recommended for those who would love to experience living in kampung. The view of padi field from my room and the sunset is beyond words to explain. The room is spacious. Bit run down. Night time very very dark and can be creepy too. Sounds of nature during the night might wake you up. Not recommended for solo traveler. But may be suitable for honeymoon. Infants and toddlers are not recommended. The swimming pool is gorgeous but it is quite far, and almost impossible for children to walk. The steps to the swimming pool and are quite steep, and children need extra supervision. I would recommend travelers to rent a car as the house/room is far from the cafe. There is shuttle provided and you can ring them, it was quite efficient though. However, eateries are far and the only way to reach there is by driving. The staff were helpful and courteous. The hotel provide shuttle to the airport provided that earlier arrangement is done.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay.

Room Tip: Tok Ku Room has nice view but quite far from the Lobby.

This hotel is situated in the middle of the island and is somewhat remote from anything else. Unfortunately the pictures we saw did not reflect reality when we arrived. To get to your room a car ride is required up and down the hills, and unless you are really fit this is the requirement to get to the reception area and breakfast in the morning. The accommodation itself is spacious but has seen better days and feels like the whole place now needs a deep clean. It was our intention to stay at this location for three days but after one night we decided to move on. The breakfast provided was good and the staff were helpful.

Room Tip: If you decide to stay at this hotel I would suggest you make arrangements with the hotel to collect...

We stayed at Rumah Chot. Very spacious room with extra mattresses available. Can even accommodate the whole family. Nice breakfast.

Not suitable for honeymooners though the hotel provides best privacy. Too quite, very dark, too creepy at night. Suitable for families or travellers in large group.

Please don't expect too clean in this resort as:
1.Wooden House
2.Surrounded by forest and trees
3.Old Design

Check in process is ok around 10 minutes. The lobby is traditional malay style but obviusly aged.

Room is spacious, consist of 2 single beds and a set of sofa. The whole room are made of wooden including floor. My room has a balcony which you can see the greens and cows,

The beds are old but also got a good sleep, the lighting in the room is not enough, and the TV is small without a clear reception.

The cleniness is only below average, especially in the bathroom. The only good thing in the bath room is the water pressure is really strong from the rain shower.
There is no curtain to split the shower area, so the whole bathroom is split with water and wet after you shower, this made us very uncomfortable.

Breakfast is ok with western and local spread, they did very well for the roti prata and omelette.
The service in the breakfast area is good, both guy and lady (supervisor / manager) are very good customer oriented service.

We did enjoy the pool, the pool is huge and very nice view.

If you are looking for the accommodation in the forest, please give this hotel a try you may love it, Or maybe you can request a higher category of room if you want to have a better room condition, maybe.

Room Tip: 1.You may request a room design of separate shower and toilet, this is to avoid the water will spread...

Pros:
+ affordable rates
+ very private, suits for couple or honeymooners to have some privacy time
+ well air-conditioned.

Cons:
- the place is so dark & looks wicked
- far from town
- love the kampong concept but its just poorly maintained.

We had our 5d 4n stay at kampung top senik resort on wed night and check out on sun evening. We planned and decided to stay at kampung tok senik resort after we saw and expected their environment just like what we've planned(a kampung style resort and environment near padi field) Its our yearly family trip and we expected more from this resort. Instead right after we reached their resort at 10pm and checked in at kampung arif house we were actually shocked after we saw their surrounding we so dark and quite. Our room was actually quite far from the resort lobby and canteen. It took at least 5-10 minutes walk. From where we stayed to their market or mini mart took 10-15 minute drive out from the hotel. We came in a huge amount of people and nom if us has or know how to drive so its really difficult for us to travel around to explore the places. No taxi or at least a van service with driver for us to rent for the whole trip. One of their staff offered us and asked if we want him to bring us out to explore some of langkawi island, so we did. Since we had no choice annd desperate. He charged us rm300 per day from 10-10pm but not included patrol and his meal. On friday we spent out whole entire day at the resort room since theres nothing surrounding and we had no transport. Their breakfast was average and their cleanliness was poor but the transportation was the worst. I hope they could change it. Should stay around pantai cenang. They have the kuta(bali) environment.
