We have booked this resort for next week, and our flights have been rescheduled which works out we have to leave a day early.
There was no other way to get back home so i contacted the resort as i had paid fully up front weeks before and there is no changes, no refunds for any reason.
Im not so happy with this because i think there should be some sort of leniency for things like airlines cancelling flights which you can not change.

Anyway i hope our actual stay there is better than the start.

It is difficult to pen down our experience in words but let me try sharing my experience with Taj Langkawi during my holiday visit to Country.

We (me & my Friend) stay in Delhi and were exploring on various options to visit places for holiday during the autumn break at school and zeroed down to Singapore Malaysia trip. I had the impression that 3 days at Taj Langkawi would be good enough as this property will be similar to Taj property at Goa. We got our booking through Khairun & ChuiWei, who were prompt and quick to revert.

After spending few days at Kuala Lumpur, we took the Malaysian airlines flight and got at Langkawi airport. We were received by Ms. May Aw from Taj and were delighted to interact with her while she explained about the place and resort.

While we waited for boat at the port, we & our luggage were well taken care by very active security staff. I cant recollect reaching any island resort so effortlessly.

Right from the time we were dropped by boat till we reached our room, we were delighted to see the property and its cleaniness. Must tell that staff was very corporative and everone was ready to help. Beach was again very clean, organinsed and delghtful to watch.

While we entered the room,we got a personalised and hand written letter from GM in the room welcoming us to the property. Very impressive!!!

Staying at rooms was a delight itself and have set high benchmarks about beach property.
We must compliment the management for excellent arrangement of various activities at resort. 1st we were not very keen to go for nature walk but when we went… cant explain how good Selva was. It was so much of fun …

With everyone (other guests) whom we interacted, praised the property and infact few regreted for not staying for long. We too felt the same. We were updated by staff on various activites we can do while enjoing the property and we did all….

We enjoyed our stay at various locations right from Thiland to US but have become fan of this hotel. It has wonderful location and amazing view from room. Staff was very corporative and can feel the positive energy right from GM to each staff. People were active and quick to respond.
Restaurant spread were very nice. Rajan, Chef Mahesh and Murali at restaurant was kind enough to understand our food requirement and quality of food was the best. We rank this hotel as excellent on location, food and service. See the smiling faces of staff ...

We interacted with Chief of security and Hotel GM on daily basis… some time causally and some time got into discussion.

We must say the overall visit was beyond expectations and we carried lot of good memories to charish. We have lot of snaps but sharing few due to space constraint.

I want to thank Taj, Mr Mukherjee and all staff for making our experience so wonderful and delightful.
I have already recommended this hotel to various people. My snaps at Facebook are liked by lot of friends and they are also amazed with the magnificence of this property. I promise to visit again shortly….

My husband and I chose to stay at Rebak Island resort as we were visiting our friends who live on their boat at the marina there, otherwise we wouldn't have chosen this resort as there are more beautiful beach resorts around the globe. As this is the only hotel on the small island you are kind of at their mercy.
Now that said, the service could not be faulted. There was more than enough staff to attend to our every whim with warmth, courtesy and respect. We were well looked after with a transfer in the managers car from the airport to the boat terminal, a call after settling in the check if our room was ok and on our last night our bed was decorated with tropical flowers.
While this is a quiet tropical island paradise, the water is not clear and there are rocks just off the main beach so it is not as picturesque as fiji perhaps. The resort on the other hand is very picturesque, well maintained and very Asian in decor with dark wood predominating.
We had one of the deluxe seaview rooms which was large with a patio and outdoor shower and views of the water and about 10 steps to the sand and the beach lounge chairs.
The main restaurant is exceptionally good with quality food, a huge menu (even a couple of organic choices) and a very good wine selection.
The pool is large and inviting with a swim up bar which closes at 6pm when the small and cute beach bar opens. You can also dine privately on a table set up in the cabana on the point or on a table set up on the beach. We did this with our friends and opted for the seafood bbq menu. It was expensive but well worth it and a night to remember.
One tip is that you get to and from the island on a small motor boat that screams across the bay to a time table about 6 times per day and on the schedule you will see the last boat brings you back from the main island of Langkawi at 7.30pm. This means you will be back for dinner on the island but actually the last boat runs at 10.30pm which does give you enough time for the mainland night markets or a cheap dinner instead of being stuck at the hotel every night.

Room Tip: We had prime position and a large room 402

We stayed for 3 nights between 2nd and 4th of September. Though not what one would strictly call a 5 star property, the staff more than compensates by being so friendly.
We stayed at the Sea view room which is better than the Garden view room if you're travelling as a couple. On the other hand, the garden view rooms seem to be larger with 2 rooms so would be ideal for a family.
The food was good, so was the breakfast spread. The staff could have been more careful in keeping up the surprise of dinner my husband had organized for us at the Moon Deck Cabbana.
The gym was below average. They should work on it.
The convenience store had most emergency articles but it wasn't maintained properly. Looked like a room where stuff was randomly thrown around.
A resort is only as good as their worst element.
Spa service was good but very expensive.
The only point for all guests to remember is that if your return flight is during the day, then you have to check the time and take the appropriate scheduled ferry back to Langkasuka port at Langkawi mainland. They shan't be arranging a private drop. It helps that the airport officials are quite lenient with check-in timings.
Coming back to the main part of my review. We would like to specially thank the entire staff at Rebak Taj for the wonderful service starting from Mr. Sandip Mukherjee and Ankit. It would be unfair to mention only a few names. Every member of the staff inquired how our stay was, offered to take us around the property and saw to it that we were made to feel good. Never felt this kind of friendliness and warmth at any other place we've stayed at.

Room Tip: Sea view room is better than the Garden view room if you're travelling as a couple. On the other...

We took a two-bedroom suite and spent 4 nights there with the family. The service was impeccable! Our rooms got serviced twice a day. The staff were very friendly. They even remembered our names! The resort was very relaxing, peaceful, home away from home. Although it is a private island, the resort has its own activities such as complimentary kayaking, cooking lessons, nature walks etc. Highly recommended for a idyllic getaway!

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms are great if you like the seaview.

Selected this place as our honeymoon destination and it didn't disappoint. Away from all the traffic, pollution, noise. Property covers the complete island so its complete safe to roam around even at odd hours. Good food, very friendly staff and a speed boat(complimantary) to take you to/from hotel.
