I'm a tour operator, I made a booking in this resort during this month for a family in this resort, they contacted me several times during their staying in this resort complaining

They were complaining about many things such as the very bad services, unfriendly staff, the meals were very poor, their rooms are very bad, old Furniture

these family are asking me now for a refund.

I don't recommend this resort to any one, they are saying it's 5 stars , but it didn't reserve to get a 2 Stars

Room Tip: Don't go to this resort

Stayed there for 3 nights from 9 August. Vastly overpriced. Room was old, breakfast terrible, service bad, location poor. The resort itself is poor, half of it being a bulding site. The sea village is crumbling and falling apart.

Room Tip: choose another hotel

We had reservations due to online reviews, and sadly these were proved correct. Service was very unfriendly from arrival. We were sent to a different reception on arrival which resembled an airport terminal on a busy bank holiday. We arrived after official check in time, yet, following queuing, completing all paperwork, deposits etc we were told to take a seat (albeit clearly no seats were available so we had to sit in the floor) and wait while our room was prepared. When we enquired about how long we might need to wait we were told "i don't know" and eventually "this could take over an hour because we're busy."
We decided to leave the hotel and when we asked for a refund they were very responsive (and didn't try to persuade us to stay). However, we are still waiting for confirmation that they have refunded our creditcard deposit even though we have chased the hotel directly.

Considering that this is only £40 cheaper than the Mandarin Oriental in KL- where we received the most exceptional service and stunning facilities- I can't see how this resort is value for money. Skip this and stay at the Mandarin.

My wife and I booked to stay here in July. Arrived late at night in the dark and taken to our Sea Village suite after being checked in by the most miserable unfriendly reception staff. It was the worst room I have ever had the misfortune to stay in ever. The sea village is so old it is literally falling apart. Don't be fooled by the photos on the website, they must be so old. The Sea Village doesn't need a makeover, it needs pulling down.

The aircon was so noisy and held together with a bandaid..truly! The floors were wooden but in bad disrepair my wife got splinters in her foot. The furniture is so old it was hard to work out what was pattern and what was a stain on the upholstery. The bathroom finish was so shonky it looked like a 10 year old had tried some running repairs. The bed was hard and ungiving and the pillows like bricks.

The new infinity pool is very good, happy to give credit where it is due.

Breakfast was pitiful, so little choice and the fruit selection consisted of about half a dozen pieces of fruit containing only 3 different varieties.

I complained about the standard of the sea village room and the fact that it had cost me almost 1100 dollars for a dump and the hotel relocated us to a vacant newer villa room which was really modern and nice. However, the balcony looked out onto the new construction of their premium rooms and the whole hotel smelled of concrete dust.

There is nothing at all within close proximity of the hotel, no bus service so you will have to take taxis to the two local towns. There is one convenience store across the road from the hotel but their prices are high.

We disliked it so much that on the 3rd day we packed up and hopped onto a flight to Penang.

Room Tip: If you really insist on booking here, only stay in one of the new villas.

Room : Big and awesome
Toilet : Awesome
Beds : Their biggest room that I had which is Room 711 has a Queen bed and a Single bed, you might wanna opt for only King bed, although the room is large enough but the sleep quality is not enough with Queen bed for me, unless it is good enough for you.
View : Still under construction so it's not great but the room makes up for it.
Breakfast : They have pretty decent food and varieties, they even have Roti Canai!!! but it's provided in Langkawi Lagoon Resort as the Ombak Villa's restaurant is not open yet.
Service : awesome!
Price : I paid for Promo price RM450 approx. which I find it worth it for a beautiful place like this!

This place is so new that the bath tub still has white residue on it, so it's best to come once they are done probably after August if they have the promo still, other than that, I'm happy with it!

I absolutely love it, the best value hotel I have ever stayed in. There is no place as relaxing that I have ever been. Our room was lovely. We never encountered a single employee at this hotel who did not greet us with a smile. Anyone we encountered a second time remembered our names. Service is absolutely superb and even a notch above what we have come to expect. Our experience was completely excellent.
