We stayed here for our honeymoon for about 5 nights and absolutely
Loved it! We were met at reception with refreshing drinks, although we did have to wait a while to check in we roamed around the beach area until then. We stayed in one of the sea villas it was really beautiful! We could not sit in the balcony at night because of all the flies etc but we made the most of the balcony during the day. It is a tropical island so do expect to see cockroaches and lizards here and there! The breakfast was nice overall had a lovely stay and would love to visit again.

We stayed in the studio suite sea village for a night in April.

Read a lot of mixed reviews about this resort before i booked the place. What attracted me most about the resort were the views of the sea villas on stilts. It looked beautiful and turned up very nicely on our photo album.

The resort is located just 5 minutes from the airport. We were greeted warmly, and the staff were friendly throughout the stay. Didn’t face any problems with our check in. We were ushered to our room with a buggy after having a welcome cocktail beside the infinity pool.

There was nothing else to shout about the resort, really. The resort is not near to anything else other than the airport. Food is not easily accessible either, so you will need to rent a car to get around.

The rooms were spacious, but were not well maintained. They looked worn down and could do with some serious refurbishing. Looked nothing like the pictures on the website. There is no free wifi in the room. There is a beach, but it was muddy. Don’t expect a beach that you could swim.

The cons outweigh the pros. Booked it at a discounted rate but if I were to pay the full price, I would have felt very dissatisfied. For the same price, you could find better accommodations elsewhere.

This resort is having nice sunset view from sea shore villas. The amenities in resort is good and hotel staff is very helpful. I rented car for all 5 days and that made trip amazing.
You should book car at airport itself and drive yourself to hotel. Roads are good and petrol is cheaper. . I visited 2 spots each day and on the way had lunch and dinner.

The beaches in langkawi are amazing and you should try water sports here.

Have a nice trip and you will need at least 3 to 4 days to cover langkawi.

We stayed there for 3 nights from the 21/04/14
The first night we got there was a bit of a nightmare
The room was aged and was not clean
More like a 2 star hotel
We got there about 8.30pm and found millipede on our room floor
And about 2 hours later, there was cockroach in the bathroom
The house keeping came to take it out.
Then I called reception and asked if I could change the room the next day

The receptionist girl said we can't guarantee there will be no cockroach in other room you are moving to ... It's tropical island!!

I couldn't believe my own ears for what I've just heard
I've been to so many tropical islands that I couldn't even count
And this is the first !!!!!

This is what I call a dirty room that's why the cockroaches are there !!!!
Thanks for the management though, 10min later they offer to move us to the new room at Ombak villa.
The room is a lot nicer and cleaner

But then again our last night at Ombak villa, we had a bit of midnight horror.
I was reading a book and something was flying in our room.
It was a bat. I'm wondering how did it get in there as I didn't leave the door open at all.
I know that it wasn't the resorts fault... It could happen anywhere!
And thanks to the hotel staff that came in at midnight to help search for the intruder and take it out.

The staff at the restaurant were very nice and helpful

Overall it was an interesting experience
But no .. My husband and I will not return !!!

Was quite a find, am generally okay with the accomodation; albiet a bit old but it's decent, clean and private. Choose the seavillage though, it's nicely located on the sea and awesome view of the sea (and also sunset). Very nice infinity pool overseeing the sea - can stay there chilling whole day. However, service could use some improvement. Calls for buggy takes forever and no follow up, breakfast is fine but spread is limited but service is horrendous, takes forever to clear and set the table and it gives u the impression that the staff are friendly but no follow up to ensure service request is completed. There is a small private beach available, great for people seeking solitude and not too far away from airport and pantai cenang. Overall Ok but experience could be improved.

Room Tip: Go for the seavillage or Ombak Villa

Whilst the Lagoon Resort purports to be an international Hotel, it has a strong marketing focus towards the United Arab Emirates, detailing a concept supportive of traditional muslim values and lifestyle. Consequently, it is not easy to purchase an alcoholic drink and requires persistence to obtain one. Simiarly, both pools have signed "pool-rules" that detail the appropriate swim wear required, namely head to ankle "burkini's" for females. The Resort is a long way from shops, restaraunts, nightlife, swimming beaches, water-sports etc and requires a 15 minute taxi ride. There was no hot water during our short stay and evening meals a la carte only.

I stayed at Langkawi resort in March . The room was nice with a balcony. The staff were very helpful to me when I needed my cell phone to be charged . They went out of their way to assist me and eventually one of the staff members charged the phone at no cost. It is a nice safe resort with a wonderful view of the pool and beach when you use the open restaurant for breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay. There are many taxis parked in the resort itself if you want to go to Kuai City for shopping or Cenang Beach for some RnR.

Room Tip: Choose rooms with a balcony
