Stayed here after Christmas and over New Year. From the first greeting to the final goodbye, the staff were the most helpful, courteous and charming I have ever met.
The resort is located at the northern end of a lagoon away from the main areas. That meant a reliance on taxis which were reasonably priced and readily available. A round trip to tthe local beach area cost MYR 36 / €9 for up to 4 pax. The lagoon is home to many jellyfish, Some brave souls did defy the natives and swam there without any apparent ill effects. We had two sea villas, each of which can accommodate three, and were of good size. The beds were extremely comfortable and regulalry changed.
Rates included breakfast which offeredf plenty of variety as the hotel caters for a multinational / mulricultural clientelle. The rates also included a compulosory charge for a New Year's Eve open air banquet and show, which added cionsiderably to our costs, The function itself was of mixed quality. Generally the food (breakfast) was good but inevitably repetitive but the function food, whilst very well presented was of mixed quality.
Other than the fire eaters the performers were disappointing and did not connect with the audience.
On leaving we were not asked if we enjoyed ourselves but how could the resport imprtoved, a clear sign of focus on customner needs.More
