We've decided to stay after reading the reviews on this hotel. So I got to check on this hotel when we went for family holiday recently.

It's has very big lobby which I think it's a waste of space / under utlised. Very decent reception. It didn't give a good impression to me at first. The rooms are located in other building, about few minutes walk from reception. I wish the surrounding areas can be developed; such a huge area, as big as a football field. Maybe the hotel management should consider build a recreation or sports area ie volleyball or futsal field. We stayed at the family room which met our needs, a family of four. 2 queen beds. Bathroom is ok, good flooring however, the water heater didn't work -- didn't bother us though. The hotel gives basic toiletries which if you need more, you have to get it from the reception. No phone in the room. Only three TV channels that is TV1, TV2 and TV3. Credit should go to the swimming pool. Our sons LOVED it. I would say very impressive. Our stay included breakfast which I must say very generous serving.

My observation during my stay is I noticed that the hotel workers were very polite, friendly and hardworking giving me the impression that they enjoyed their work.

Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Good value for money, clean and spacious room plus good location. Great night life. My only wish is for the management to do something with the underused lobby area!

If you are visiting Langkawi and not very fussy about staying at the Beach, pls do try out this Hotel.

AMAZING Experience. Let me start with the Location. This is just across the road from Pantai Cenang Beach.

The Manager and the entire staff of this Hotel are very courteous, good behavior. The lobby is so huge, this looks like a old five star Hotel. The rooms are very affordable. For a family of four this will be the cheapest hotel available at this rate.

the area of the Hotel is huge with lots of Car parking spaces and huge grounds. If you are a Gang visiting the hotel you can play football or badminton at the huge grounds.

About the OASIS pool. This was my first experience of a Oasis pool. There is only one in Langkawi and that too only at this hotel. We had great fun at the huge pool, which gives an experience of swimming in a lake in the middle of a Jungle, with waterfalls here and there.

The cook... he is awesome who knows to cook a lot of dishes.

the rooms are comfortable and clean. though there are no telephones in the room, with no newspapers and other communication still they stay will be enjoyable. They stay this is just for you to relax and stop worrying about the world.

you may contact me incase of any further queries...

We were let down by the accommodation that we had booked and had to find somewhere in a hurry. The hotel is the oddest place that I have ever seen. It is not a boutique hotel but in fairness one look at their website should make that clear.

The front is very grand with a huge reception hall and flowing staircase which leads to a huge ballroom. There are no rooms in this part of the building they are in a block down a drive 100meters from the main building.

The rooms are built arond a tropical pool which is lovely. There are mature trees and the rooms with balcony over look the pool but the trees give a degree of privacy. There is a waterfall into the pool which is not too deep and shelves gently to get in. There is abundant wildlife such as butterflies and nesting toucans.

The room we stayed in was almost a suite with a sofa and coffee table. Many of the fittings were obviously expensive but did not work properly. We had TV and no remote, a fridge cups and no kettle. I suspect that these had been removed by the staff so that they could deliver them to the room when asked for a tip.

Although we were disappointed that we did not stay in first choice hotel with hindsight it may have worked out better. The beach is stunning but with no shelter and intense heat we would cooked in about 20 minutes whereas having the pool with its sun and shade made it relaxing and we could go on the beach early or late when the temperature had cooled.

We did look at some hotels on the beach but if they did not have a pool then you would be sitting in your room or the bar if not on the beach. There are also parking places adjacent to the rooms so that if you hire a car you have go somewhere to park it. This can be a real issue in the area as it is very busy and many of the cars could easily get scratched or dented.

The buffet breakfast was very generous with a wide range if dishes and yo could really eat well if yo wanted to.

We booked quite late and so we only had the choice to take the Boutique or a 5 Star hotel. Problem: During Chinese New Year the remaining 5 Star hotels which still had rooms available would have charged for one night what we have paid at the Boutique for 4 nights incl tax and bf. So we went for the Boutique knowing what to expect because of our check on TA . Check-in was swift and they even made a room available 4 hours before official check-in time. Sales Manager came over to greet us and to inform us about some activities taking place there in the night. Staff in general was very kind and always willing to help. To get to the room you have to walk about 200 m behind the hotel. The rooms (especially the carpet) have surely seen better times but where actually very spacious with a little balcony, a sofa and a desk. The "mini bar" was just an empty little fridge, but working. A water boiler together with cafe sachets and cups was provided as well. TV only three local channels but we did not come here to watch HBO. On the room they advised guests to call housekeeping if they need something - but we could not find the telephone. This is not in the room but located at the staircase leading to the rooms, we never found it. The (also comparatively spacious) bathroom was shower and toilet in one without any curtain so after the shower everything was wet and needed long time to dry - not always a pleasant smell. Pool was a bit uninviting as it is kept in a "nature scheme" but very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good with local and western choices. Room service very good with daily change of linen/towels. Bring your own toiletry incl. toothbrush/paste, shower gel and shampoo. Location is very good right at the Southern half of the main strip and it was about 400 m from our room to the beach. Supermarkets are just nearby and just opposite of the hotel is a local restaurant which still serves you a meal at 1 am. The "Little Mexican" next door made us some nice food on our last day.

Conclusion: You get what you pay for. For what we paid it was totally ok and you can not expect a 5 star property and service for a 2 star price. This hotel is surely ok for the 20something cost concerned backpacker on his Asia trip but not for the couple wanting a romantic holiday or a family with kids as there are better hotels - but surely also worse.
