Built in a shop lot, this two-storey hotel is considered a budget yet quite pricey since it provides very basic facilities for desperate visitors. The ground floor rooms are windowless equipped with an air conditioner but without a remote control provided, an old TV set with only a few channels, coffee and tea-making facility, bath towels and cheap soap and shampoo. Staffs are friendly though. Checked in this hotel with assistance from a local friend who had to make advance payment to secure a room. I was told, some hotels here do not accept booking by phone calls. It seems they are taking advantage of room shortage during peak period like the year end school holidays. It can be very frustrating and inconvenient. The location is great- surrounded by shops with restaurants operating till late night, supermarkets selling duty-free goods and banks too. No breakfast is provided but the restaurants within the vicinity offer great food at reasonable prices. If there are choices, this hotel would not be on my list though. If not for business reason, a short visit to Labuan does not require an overnight stay since boats provide regular services to the mainland daily.
