Getting to Kuantan aftermath the flood was uneventful; but there shouldn't be any excuse for serving customers with dirty stained towels and dusty room. Despite adequate basic amenities; it is expected to be clean at least. Good shower pressure & exhaust fan are commendable. Checking in & out were both smooth; thanks to the well-versed staff. The room price includes breakfast which could have been a lot better compared with other Sentral Hotels around Malaysia. It could be disastrous if everyone decides to come down around 8.30-9.30am over the weekends..quite challenging for a 97 rooms hotel. Plenty of room for improvement especially on the menu & taste. Parking spaces are available behind the hotel (within the green gate) and security guards are seen roaming the area as it is located near the main road. Wifi is slow though. Wonder if something could be done to enhance the experience walking beside the Kuantan River..quite scary for a night stroll after dinner. Discounts for the boat ride excursion can attract more business during off-peaks. Pak Akob Ikan Patin by the river which is also behind the hotel well-recommended for traditional lunch menu can be quite busy on weekdays. Naturally, a nice quiet location to be in Kuantan town instead of staying by the beach but quite far from the main shopping area which is around the Stadium Darul Makmur.
