We were unimpressed by the overall resort. Rooms were dated, beds were on an oversized wooden box structure made getting on and off the bed from the edge a bit uncomfortable as your legs would be rubbing against the protruding wood. Bedsheets were 'old-smelling' and stained. We were compelled to check for bed bugs (luckily there were none).

Toilets were filthy, water leaking, mold on the tiles and tub. Amenities were too basic for a 4-star resort!

Facilities were old & worn, for eg jacuzzi was just a tub with weak jet, gym was filthy with really old equipment, ping pong ball was not quite up to std, pool table carpets were torn, cue sticks crooked, etc....

It was a pity becoz the resort was sure to have seen better days... Facilities and F&B prices were too high...

On the plus side, staff were ok, especially F&B staff who were prompt and courteous... Food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) taste wise was great too, especially their BBQ selection, fresh seafood!

as a walk in, non-member guest..it considered as one of the expensive hotel in beatiful beach side but...
no privacy at all-too many courses organised by government held in the hotel...and you can see their participants with the neck tie/baju kurung walk around the hotel and pool side...wth?? maybe the hotel and its management want more concentrate to become the government training centre..

keep it up..and

i will not come again for sure..

1) Expensive hotel rate - not worth the money. Luckily I got cheaper rate online but the receptionist tried to add surcharge etc - without success.
2) Hotel sales person kept bugging us to apply for the hotel membership - call our mobile & room day and night. Most of those who was staying there were the club members.
3) 2nd class treatment for non members - we asked for a room next to the pool but was informed that those are for members only. Our room was on the same lane as the trolleys routes so we could hear them most of the time especially early morning.
4) I've stayed at almost all hotels on the same stretch of beach and this is the worst considering the hotel expensive rate. There are cheaper hotel at better services. Nothing outstanding about this hotel.
5) No Astro (cable TV). Only vision 4 , I thought vision 4 is already extinct? Shabby room and tiny toilet. Muddy/dirty pool water.

Despite the fact that it was the monsoon season there was still ample sunshine for us to enjoy the beach and the pool during our 3 days 2 nights stay at the resort. I have booked two adjoining deluxe sea view rooms for my family. The rooms which are located in the Cherating Wing were recently refurbished to a more modern contemporary style. Hence, the rooms look rather new, clean and were very comfortable for my husband and two young children. My family was certainly impressed with the ambience and cleanliness of the room. It was certainly worth the price that I paid for. However, apart from the room, I could not say the same for the rest of the facilities and the overall maintenance of the resort. The large expansive lawn in front of the resort needs some major landscaping for a start. It looks patchy and messy as though a herd of billy goats were brought it to do some real damage! The foyer and lounge looked old and tired. In fact, it looked exactly the same when I was at the resort 13 years ago! The gift shop never opens on time. The mini-mart which consist of two fridges and two freezers stocked with ice-creams and drinks are locked all the time. You need to ring the service counter staff to come and unlock the freezers if you want to buy ice-cream. Sometimes, they can't even remember the right keys which will unlock the right freezers or fridges. Hence, you and your kids are made to wait for them to figure it out before you can get a hold of that much needed ice-cream! Insofar as food is concerned, there is only one coffee house and no other restaurants in the resort which means you may need to drive up to Kemaman ( about half an hour away) or drive down to Kuantan ( about 45 minutes from the resort) if you want to try out local delicacies or even for that matter some decent western meals! Frankly, apart from breakfast, it appears that nobody at the resort stays in for lunch or dinner. The buffet breakfast offered as part of our package were hotel standard fare - it was nothing to shout about. Although my children enjoyed the two large free-form swimming pools in the resort, there were many dead insects and sand in the pools. The beach was perhaps the main reason why I chose the resort for our family holiday. It has a long stretch of sandy beaches and the texture of the sand on the beach is fine, soft and silky. Something that you can't really find on many beaches in Peninsular Malaysia. It's ideal for a lot of games and perfect for kids who love building sand castles. Overall, the resort facilities need tremendous improvement if it wishes to still keep its doors open for the next 10 years!

The worst hotel ever stay. The rooms are run-down, old and dirty. Pillows, blankets & towels looks old and smelly (seems like 80's stuffs). The water pressure in the bathroom turns low if anyone using water in another room. The worst part - swimming pool, looks like a milk pool. The water is not clear and dirty. I did complaint to the managers but they seems helpless and can't do anything. SKIP THIS HOTEL OR IT WILL SPOILT YOUR TRIP!!!

The staff is friendly but the room was quite disappointing. The room looks old & not properly maintain. But the pool quite big but just only for adults & kids 4yrs above. My small kids cant enjoy much.

Food quite disappointing.

The thing i enjoy the most is the beach.
