My family goes at least 5 times a year to cool down in the fresh water. We enjoyed a swim below the waterfall and the kids love to splash around in the shallow parts.
You have to pay a small fee, but the area is surprisingly well maintained. There are toilets and showers, where you can get changed. If you are non-local, it would be advisable to respect the local culture and to wear shirt and shorts, no bikinis.
Come early to get a shady place and to avoid the crowd on the weekends.
