It cost us just over rm450 for 2 adults, 2 children and the baby. We all enjoyed our day very much but I was really put off by the hidden extra (optional) charges. At the price, I would expect my entry fee to cover everything in the park other than food. Unfortunately, there was a haunted house, zip wire and a few other things that cost extra. Very disappointing.
On the up side though, there was lots of cheap food available which is unusual for a theme park.
There was plenty of big fans and shaded areas. The toddler pool was shaded and perfect for the baby. My older kids loved the water slides and the petting zoo.
All in all, a great day out.

I had two nights in the Lost World of Tambun and I found the resort, theme park and hotel are not bad afterall for first timer.. As I never been to Sunway Lagoon, therefore I unable to compare to their main theme park water.. the food inside the park are quite expensive, there make sure you had your meal before you enter.. the dry area have limited play area, and the water slides are just 3 only.. overall, not bad as a good place for Tambun area.. next to Lost of World Tambun, there is Banjaran Retreat..

We booked tickets to lost world of tambun and we were planning to also go around ipoh and local restaurants during our first trip to ipoh.

What we weren't expecting was that there was no shops, no restaurants, no malls around the hotel. You're pretty much stuck to going to the resort/amusement park across the street of the hotel. You only have the choice of going to Papa Rich if you wanted food or go into Lost world of Tambun for a meal.

This was a bit tricky since we booked a room that came with hot spring and night park. By the time we left Lost world of tambun, Papa rich (the one and only restaurant) is closed, the hotel had no room service. We havent had dinner so we ended up ordering from food panda, since it wasn't exactly walking distance to walk in a very dim lit road to get to the nearest mcDonalds.

The room was clean, it had a mini fridge. Bathroom was clean, so was the bed. Just had a problem with figuring how to eat if you happen to have dinner beyond 10pm

Although i enjoyed the man made waves and beach, hot springs and night park with fire warriors show, there aren't many other things to do. The tigers are tired and the luminous forest is mostly just lightings ...lack of natural stuff like real glowy worms etc. more attractions should be introduced

We have been to this place for a couple of times with our kids.

The best thing about Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) is there are so many attractions. Eventually much more than MAPS itself.

The kids waterpark is big enough for kids to spend hours in there.

Since Ipoh doesn't have any zoo, LWOT is the only alternative to see wild animals here. FYI the nearest zoo is in Taiping.

So can you imagine, its like waterpark + zoo + fun fair + hot spring.

What else can I say?

However the only thing I don't like is the small prayer room over here. At times of school holiday or public holiday, its very crowded.

On end of year, sometimes 3-4 family day from corporates in one place. So many crowd.

Plan ahead. Don't forget to look around for ticket agents or online deals website/app, you can get 20% or more savings! Even as a foreigner or Malaysian. Malaysian or MyKad holders can get cheaper rates.

That's the only saving you can get. Use that extra savings to purchase the foods inside (which is quite costly)
