A short & interesting Heritage Walk primarily centered around the Old Town /Colonial buildings .
However the walk could be vastly improved with more details & stories on the recommended buildings places. There was also lack on signage on some of the buildings as well as other heritage buildings which appears to be omitted from the heritage walk map .

This was a very interesting walk - assisted by the map supplied by the Tourism Office. It was very very hot and would sugest you leave as early as you can to avoid the heat of the day. It will still be hot though!

Your first response is likely that they copied the idea from Penang but never mind, it is interesting to find each of the sketches and relate it to the neighborhood they are located in. We discovered Cocubine Lane in the process! Do it at a leisurely pace as then you give yourself time to stop and try food and drinks that draw your attention.

Had fun seeking the murals around town! Murals are nearby each other and a map
Could be taken from the tourist centre to guide you around!

I did two walks of the Heritage Trail over two days, to capture the buildings in different light, morning vs. afternoon sun. It is possible to see all 30 buildings which are mapped well on the map from the Tourist Information Centre. The Heritage Walk combined with the mural trail and food places, makes Ipoh a perfect tourist destination for 2 days or more. Some of my Asian friends said they will only visit for a day, but I think if you are interested in architecture and art, you will run out of time.
