The hostel is located in the fishing village, near the jetty. The wooden building still looked good and was well maintained. We chose a cheap room with shared bathroom, but as there was no one else sharing a bathroom, we still had a private bathroom. Which was by the way a western toilet and a tap with a bucket and scoop: a nice refreshment in the heat of the day! Okay, it's not as luxurious as a resort, but you will save shiploads of money ;)
The room we had at the street side was a bit noisy, so we changed to a room in the middle of the building (no windows, but the fan cooled us (air conditioning available too) and during the day you don't stay in anyway).
At the back side there was a balcony (covered thankfully!) with a view on the local fish drying location (nearly no smell) and sea view (to the east).
Let a taxi bring you to the beaches for almost no money.
