“wifi, no beach view”
Reviewed 1 November 2010

The room was clean and comfortable with wifi connection. The downside is that no beach view from the chalet.
In teluk nipah, there is a road separated the chalets from the beach.
I saw chalets in Bogak beach are located right on the beach.
The seafood restaurants in Teluk Nipah open only after 7pm. Before the opening time, only one of the restaurant opened, selling fried banana and noodle.

I decided to stay at Palma beach recently (24-25th July) although there is one review only from this web. To my suprise, the previous review is matched every word... with my three kids, we book deluxe room for only RM150.00 per night for peak season, with 1 queen bed, 2 single bed and 1 extra bed (at no charge), it's really comfortable for five of us. The location also is very convenient, just a walking distance to the food stall and beutiful coral beach. Nipah beach still under construction but it not spoilt our trip at all.

We also received a fast respond when we make a complaint on our tv channel, they also provide a place to hang our wet cloths after spending half a day on snorkeling trip.

Although we have a great experience stayed at Pangkor Island on 2009, all my children prefer Palma Beach as for them is more happening and enjoyable.

If you're looking for simple, clean accommodation for a reasonable price, then this could be a good choice.
In an area of the island that is packed with budget hotels and chalets, the Palma Beach resort seems to be one of the better options.
It offers standard or deluxe apartment style rooms in a complex that looks quite new. We chose a standard room in high season, which cost us 85RM per night. There are cheaper options around for 70RM per night (in high season) but after looking at a few (and even trying another place for one night), Palma Beach seemed fine.
Our room was simple and clean. It is not a luxurious resort, but it does the job. The room had a double bed, TV, good air con and ensuite bathroom. The shower is practically over the top of the toilet and the bathroom is not big, but this style of shower appeared in all our budget accommodation across Malaysia - even in the cities.
If you're looking for a fancy beach resort - this isn't it. But if you're looking for somewhere cool and clean to relax in after a day in the sun, then this is good.
It has a pool - and during high season there is some noise from this area. Each room also has a balcony or veranda - with comfy chairs for relaxing in the evening.

The complex is almost next to the beach, but one downside to our visit was that they were doing a large amount of construction all along this beach while we were there. Instead, we chose to walk 5 minutes around the corner to Coral Beach - which is bigger and cleaner.
I'm not sure how long the construction will continue, but it seemed quite extensive and they were just getting started when we were there in June 2010.
