My wife and I just finished our Malaysian vacation, and by far the best place we stayed at was Nipah Guesthouse! The A-Frame cottages are super charming and unique. The reason that makes Nipah Guesthouse so wonderful is the owners, Alicia and Anuar (and their little girl Aila). You can tell right away that they are passionate about what they do and that they take great measures to make your stay ideal. They keep the place extremely clean and well maintained, and they are constantly improving on amenities, landscaping, services etc. The brand new pool and sun deck lounge area were greatly appreciated. They are also always present to help with advices for visiting the island, restaurants, transportation, and just having a chat in general.

The place is only a 5 minute walk to the beach, and 10 minute walk to Coral Beach (which is a bit more quiet and pictoresque). We booked online (reserved with my credit card) and Alicia was always very punctual in responding to my many questions, always responding immediately the same day).

The "cook it yourself breakfast" is a fun original idea, and also gives the oppurtinuty to meet and talk with the other guests (unlike the resorts where everybody goes about their own private business).

Another "bonus" of the place, is that right next door a local man feeds bananas to the hornbills everyday at 6:30, and you can feed them too! I lost count at 30 hornbills!!

All in all, I was so happy with Nipah Guesthouse that I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on Pangkor (unless of course they were full, of which I would propably change my vacation dates!!!)

Room Tip: If you truly want the full charm of the place, get one of the 4 A-Frame Cottages!! (All types of ro...

We stayed in a guesthouse (Max 6 person including children). There are 2 rooms inside, each come equipped with a double bed and a single bed. Each room is air-cond, and there is a table and TV in the living room. There is also a shower room (does not comes with warm water though).

The owner, Miss Alicia and Mr Anuar are very friendly. You can ask them if you need any help. In my case, they lend me a travel adapter, and also recommended a return trip bus to Penang (which really helps a lot).

Getting to this guesthouse is easy, as the pink van taxis are fixed price (RM 17 per van for more than 5 people).

Nipah Guesthouse is the best place to stay on Pangkor Island. It is not only the really beautyful and very clean accommodation witch makes this place so amazing. It is because of Anuar, Alicia and Ayhla. The triple A's makes you totally fell like home.
One of the best guesthouses we have been!

We felt very much at home at Nipah. And our kids loved the wild hornbills who joined us for breakfast! Such friendly owners who really want to get to know you and enthusiast show pictures of the building of the bungalows and the just opened (small) pool. Because you can prepare your coffee and tea during the whole day and prepare your breakfast just the way you like, it feels very "homelike". Definitely recommended!

We spent only one night in this guest house but we could have stayed longer. There is a nice beach five minutes walk from this place. I would definetely come back. You cook your breakfast yourself which is funny.

We travelled to Pangkor mid-week hoping to miss the crowds. This was during Ramadhan. Most of the chalets in Teluk Nipah were either closed or seemed empty despite displaying open and vacant signs at the front. I'm glad we didn't just book into one of the few chalets that were open, because we decided to venture a little further along one of the lanes and found the lovely Nipah guesthouse. Met by warm and friendly owners Anuar and Alicia, Nipah guesthouse was charming and ticked all the boxes for us. We paid RM120 per night for one of the chalets as their popular A-frame huts were fully booked. The chalets and surrounding environment is clean and tastefully decorated, all very cosy and welcoming indeed. Breakfast is included, and they provided ingredients and a free use of their kitchen to make anything we like. Wifi is available too and a great lounge-y space near the dining area. Anuar regularly feeds the passing family of hornbills and that's a nice wildlife treat if you're into that sort of thing. There's a lovely dipping pool as an option if you don't want to head out to the beach. A perfectly pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Book early - the guesthouse is probably one of the few good value places that gets booked up during...

Had the pleasure of staying for one night at Nipah Guesthouse on Aug 01 with my immediate family and my newly extended family following a wedding in Seremban. What a wonderful experience. Property was neat as a pin and owners Anuar and Alicia couldn't have been nicer. Wish we had the opportunity to spend more than one night as it would have been like relaxing in paradise.
Our family had cottages 1-4. The newly added pool was a special bonus and the breakfast amenities provided to guests in the mornings are wonderful. A short walk to a beautiful beach and make sure you are just up the rod to feed the hornbills at around 6:30PM. Take your camera.
Thank you both for your generous hospitality.
