I have too much to share of my bad experience I had in this hotel, so 200 charaters are not enough.
The hotel had it's best days probably 10 or 15 years ago.
Very old room, electricity (and also AC) is only working when your key is in the room, dirty bathroom, we had to ask for an exchange of the broken light bulbs, dirty beach. Pool area is not pleasent at all. Breakfast buffet was poor. I cannot recommend it at all.
There are better places on this island!

Don't go there! I have so many negative comments and I don't know how to start...
Room: there were Lizards in the room and bathroom, plus Mosquitos and ants all around the sink. The sink was not cleaned and very durty and with mould near the wall. The bed sheets were dirty and with big cuts or holes, they did not care even to repair them. On the ground it was plenty of hairs and dust, the minibar (empty) was smelling.
"resort": they only have one small swimming pool, nothing else..on the beach they do not offer anything, you go there with your own towel.
Breakfast: very poor and bad quality, bread was not fresh, but the one you buy in bags at the supermarket.
Area: nothing around, just 1 or 2 places to have dinner.

The resort is located on a nice stretch of beach where its buzzing with watersport avtivities. Adjacent is a public beach.

Rooms are well equiped but somewhat damp and musty due to poor maintenance of air
conditioning.

Hotel staffs are courteous and helpful. Food provided is pallatable. Set lunch and dinner that came with the package were generously portioned.

There are nearby grocery store and restaurants to shop for necessities like snacks and drinks.

Good location as it is directly opposite of Pangkor Laut island so the sea is safe for kids to enjoy ad there are hardly any huge waves. Be careful of jellyfish though, saw a few that were HUGE.

The hotel was pleasant enough, for a hotel without lifts.the food was just ok...but by the time you get back to your room you are hungry again...housekeeping just walks in your room withou knocking so sleep with your cloths on or lock the doors with the chain....oops they don't have any...

Room Tip: I would recommend the chalets ...Try to find out if you have to walk up stairs.....

If it was'nt for the nice beach front location and the swimming pool, I would have rated this hotel terrible!
The so called resort has chalets on side and a 3 storey building with no lift the other.
This building looks more like a low income housing complex!
We booked a deluxe room in this building, which has a double bed and a single bed and is quite small with absolutely no view from the window. The bathroom was also quite small and they have not put up a shower curtain so once you take a shower the whole bathroom gets wet.
There was hair all over the place and the room had a gloomy look.
The swimming pool is nice with a children's splash pool which the kids loved. All the bathrooms in the common areas of this hotel are terrible!! worse than public toilets, not clean with very old tiles and fittings, long overdue for a renovation.
They seems to get a lot of local Malay crowd on group bookings, so I doubt they will do any thing to improve.
Breakfast one of the worst I have ever had! Only the nasi lamak was fresh, rest were all stale and heated up from previous left overs!
It was a last minute decision for me to go to Pangkor, and being a holiday season I ended up with this place. Luckily it was just for one night.
Overall we enjoyed the trip since Pangkor is a great place with nice beaches and lots of water sport activities. You can also rent bicycles, motorbikes and cars to go around the island. Taxi's are a bit expensive, minimum charge being RM 10.
There are no mosques near the hotel, the nearest one being near the jetty which is a 5 mins drive away. Also not many halal restaurants in the vicinity, most Chinese restaurants. You will find quite a few at Teluk Nipah, which is a 10 mis drive away.
Most restaurant there serve the Ikan bakar (grilled fish), but beware it's quite sweet in taste!

checked in on the 8th sept for 1 night - bayu chalet - the front desk verified and paid for one night; next day we received call from front desk asking whether to extend our room...we agreed to stay for one more night...the problem is that the personnel at front desk keep calling us to come and make the payment...it was such a harassment and embarrassing experience for us...when we confront and ask why; they said that they had such experience of guest leaving without paying...

:(

the environment is full of mosquitoes.....can't even open the windows / sliding door to let in the sea breezes...
:(:(

rooms need maintenance...

Room Tip: * only certain bayu chalet that have good view to the beach... * bring along your mosquito repellen...
