The location is perfect in the heart of lively Little India, the rooms are clean and quite cheap,
The Chaps at the reception are nice, and helpful

But the water system is very noisy, gargeling noises from the tubes can wake you up, and should be improved

A bed sheet would also be quite welcome!

I stayed here for a nite only..nothing much to say about this hotel..overall the rooms were clean and the toilet too.It it is located near to few interesting places such as Masjid Kapitan,Little India Street and famous Kapitan Restaurant .but the staffs were a bit unfriendly.I am sure I wont go back to this hotel in future.

Room Tip: pls choose lower floors as the stairs are so narrow..

Great value for your money at a strategic location. The rooms are air conditioned, which is a must in this hot country. Upon arrival we where friendly welcomed by the manager, which immediately took the effort to hand us some handy folders with interesting places and provide some information. The room was clean and tidy, and fresh towels were provided without asking. We asked the desk manager a lot of questions during our stay, and we always received an answer with a smile.
Furthermore we used their laundry, scooter rental and minivan transport service, which all were good! The only con i can think of the slow internet, that sometimes lost connection. But because i bought a prepaid sim incl 2 gigs of 3G data ( U mobile, about 50RM) i did not really care about this.

I came to Penang for five weeks just after Chinese New Year. The sign up process was a little awkward (depositing money in a hotel bank account around CNY can be a problem) so I went with trepidation. Well, it was totally unfounded. The room I was given was pristine clean, the bed was comfy, the ensuite bathroom equipped with everything I needed and lovely and clean too - all in all, with my long-stayer's rate, it turned out to be an awesome bargain for Malaysia.

More than all of that tho, was the peerless customer service from the guys running the place. They bent over backwards to be helpful and were just good fun folks to banter with during my month in town.

The location is superb too. The main road can be a bit noisy during festivals and the walls are a tad thin, but the team kept noisy guests controlled and if you're going to complain about fireworks at CNY in Penang then you probably shouldn't be there! Right opposite you have flower sellers, a Ganesh shrine and Chinese temple and the view from my window looked right out over the handsome mosque (which was not so near that it served as an overly early alarm clock).

In sum: a great budget option; super clean and friendly; smile-abundant and helpful staff; and oodles to see, do and eat on your doorstep. If I return to Penang I'll certainly be checking back in.

I had a great time with my family members in Penang last summer in 2013.Almost all the heritage site is within walking distance from the hotel.Staffs at the reception provided me all required information on tourism site. They were very cooperative Broadway budget hotel offered me a very warm environment to stay in their hotel.I wish their success in future.

Good, clean and comfortable, very centrally located and easy to walk to most places and get busses to others. Stayed for a few days paying the same price for a double with ensuite as our starting hostel with shared and dirty facilities round the corner. Would happily stay here again. Only tips for Georgetown are beware buses to parts of Penang island can take hours, can be worth hiring a motorbike. Also minivans up to hat yai take forever, are cramped and hot. It's worth getting the ferry back to butterworth and getting a decent coach.

Stayed there last months for 3 days for 90 Ringgits per night. The room and shower are basic but clean, no bugs and thanks to a very quiet aircondition sleeping is cool and refreshing. No special room service, I do not expect that for 90 Ringgits, but staff at the reception is very approachable and friendly. Everything is in easy walking distance.
I would definetly stay there again.
