this hotel situates itself in a good location in the heart of Georgetown, that is near to many famous food streets and hawkers that open till late night. the heritage house is beautiful and gives a very warm and humbly feeling to room stayers. decorated with many plants and a few caged birds, the heritage house presents itself rich in history through framed pictures of old Georgetown, and also its woody architecture. Rooms were pretty much basic with a coffee table and 2 chairs, a wardrobe with some rooms having the rainforest shower. probably the best thing about the heritage house would be the beds, which are extremely comfortable. noise was minimal given that we had a room at the back of the house. breakfast was alright, with the scramble eggs a must try. service was very good, and the owner allowed us to shower before we got on a ride to the airport in the late evening although we have already checked out in the early morning. given the price of SGD$77 paid for this hotel a night, I give the property a very good rating for its excellent service, beds and house design. the only downside would probably be its basic room facilities.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The location is good. Plenty of hawker stalls and coffeeshops nearby. Breakfast is provided by hotel and the Nasi Lemak is excellent. All the staffs are polite and helpful. The standard single room is simply furnished with a single bed, chair and a small cupboard. The room is not well insulated from noise and you can hear people talking, walking, showering and even sound from some distance loudspeakers.

I recently stayed here for five nights and I had to say it has been a great experience. Room was spacious and clean, with A/C and a comfortable bed (as well as two types of pillow to choose from!). The heritage house is located on an inner street on Chulia Street, with lots of bars, cafes and food vendors around the area. The staff are all quite friendly, and very helpful with information on how to get around the town (Thank you Naomi!). The location of the hotel enabled me to walk to many of my sightseeing spots, and it's only a 10-minute walk to Komtar, Prangin Mall and 1st Avenue Mall (another plus for you shoppers out there).

The only downside about this place is if you're given a room that's facing the streets, you're in for a noisy night (unless you're a heavy sleeper). I have a habit of sleeping with headphones, which tuned the street noises out. However, if you're sensitive to noise and sounds at night, I hear the rooms facing the mosque would be more suitable.

Overall, this is a very charming little hotel situated in a convenient location, and a great way to experience life during the colonial days.

This heritage hotel was really a find...charming decor, a triple with plenty of room, and a fabulous location just off of Chulia street with all the wonderful street food vendors. The small bar/breakfast room is lovely as is the interior courtyard. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is the noise if you have a room on the street (which we did). However, the staff was very accomodating and shuffled some people around to give us a back room the second night...and we slept like babies!

Room Tip: if you are a light sleeper, request a back room.

Very nice herritage hotel with al lot of character, located in the centre of Georgetown. We stayed 2 nights in a room at the back of the hotel which is very quiet, except in the early mornings when prayers from a nearby mosque served as our wake-up call (but I guess you'll face this issue in other hotels as well). Rooms are basic, have A/C and are very clean. Rooms at the front side are bigger but face more street noise. Hotel staff is very friendly, making our stay very pleasant (thank you Ibram). A plus is the hotel's cafe, the ideal location to have a drink or snack and to relax. Definitely recommendable!
