Rented the whole bungalow which have got 9 rooms altogether. It come with the mini pool where we use it as a gathering place. The location is quite strategic and right in the centre between Batu Ferringhi and Georgetown. I would encourage ones to stay in this home stay if you want a get together in the common area such as Living room, etc. you can't get it this family bonding time if one were to stay in the hotel.

it was a nice experience to stay furnish with antique furniture. but when we book it online, the picture was different from the room we stayed in. it was a much smaller room. but anyway aside from that it was still a fine experience for us. didnt want to ruin it by making a fuss. a bit noisy because it was facing the main road. the environment is warm and hospitable, very homely. i will recommend it to others and will stay there again.

I really liked the antiques and the rain showers as well as the pool and the relaxed atmosphere. I felt at home there and they kindly let us leave our luggage in a safe room the last day. I didn't find it noisy but it is on a main road, but I didn't notice that and I found the breakfast very mediocre. The position however is great and it is nice to say somewhere with a bit of atmosphere rather than impersonal hotels. We had 5 children between our two families and they were very sweet to them and the children liked it to. It is a very good place to stay but maybe only for a few nights.

This is a charming little homestay. What could have been an austere bungalow has been given touches of luxury...resort type landscaping, modern bathrooms with rain showers, luxurious bedsheets and fluffy bathrobes , flat-screen TVs and antique Peranakan style furniture and ornaments. Oh, the wi-fi is pretty fast too!
The staff are friendly and efficient. The downside was some neighbouring dogs barking in the night (I don't think this is a regular feature). Some may find the room small and notice the traffic noise from the main road but this was not an issue with us at all. If these things are important to you, then by all means go to big hotels with no personality.

The Sea Home Boutique was neat and tidy. Our bedroom was spotless, had a spacious shower, and an air conditioner and ceiling fan kept it comfortable. The room was made up daily, though, for some reason, they stopped putting a bed sheet on the bed after the first night, only a comforter.

The property was serine, but our room, particularly at night, was very NOISY, so much so we never got sound sleep during our stay. I cannot overemphasize this point enough. It's as if the room had no walls. Each night, we heard people talking and laughing down the hall, cars driving on the street, and dogs barking next door, all noises as if they were right in our room.

The staff was nice, but we never felt completely welcome. Everyone just seemed kind of indifferent toward us. The man who helmed the reception counter, and who we communicated with the most, seemed to warm to us toward the end of our four day stay. Maybe he warmed to us because we were leaving?

The breakfast was tasty western fair: perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, British style beans, toast and a pan fried hot dog. The coffee was American drip style, though we did get espresso-based coffee one day. Because we were in South East Asia, and we had come for the food, we asked for an Eastern style breakfast, and they obliged us with one the next morning (The property is owned by the same people who own a Chinese restaurant across the street, and this is from where the Eastern breakfast came).

The home stay is in a great location just on the outskirts of George Town, an area much cooler than George Town with nice gentle tropical breezes. It's about a 25 ringgit "haggled" taxi ride to George Town's city center. There is a bus stop right in front of the property. We initially took the 101 bus into George Town but ended up trying to avoid taking the bus. It was always PACKED with people, and it would sometimes not stop to pick us up because it was too full. And a bus ride into the city was also always much, much longer than a taxi ride.

Overall, we had a satisfactory stay at the Sea Home Boutique but wonder if we'd return.
