Wonderful experience overall. Delightful, informative and attentive staff. Beautiful property, thoughtfully furnished and most importantly, comfortable beds! Breakfast is delicious and fresh, as is the complimentary afternoon tea. Kudos to Ewan for leading the staff as they were outstanding. Shout outs to Dilip, Dinesh, Faizal, Yunn and Massi.

This is an excellent hotel in the heart of Georgetown old city. The personnal is very sympathic. We always have excellent breakfast in the morning. The hotel is near the best places of Georgetown and the visit is very easy. There are good restaurants next to the hotel.

Thank you very much to Seven terrace team

I stayed here with my husband and two kids in the Stewart Lane Grand Apartment.

Pros:
1) Great service staff
2) Excellent restaurant
3) Huge room with high ceiling
4) Good location for exploring street art and hawker food. The best wonton mee stall at Lebuh Chulia is just a short walk away. However, we visited in June and the weather was extremely hot. Even a 5 minute walk was quite intolerable under the hot sun even for people who grew up in the tropics like us. I suggest downloading the myteksi app to get a taxi even for short trips. Note that it is not easy to find a taxi along the streets.
5) I like the breakfast which comes with a huge bowl of tropical fruits and unlimited orders of main courses. I like this better than the usual breakfast buffet offered in other hotels.
6) Very beautiful interior decor.
7) Strong and quiet air-conditioning

Cons:
1) Poor internet connection. I bought a prepaid card in a grocery store beside the Lehuh Chulia street hawkers.
2) No towel rail in the main bathroom.
3) Mosquitoes. The hotel provides a big electric mosquito repellant but my kids still got some bites.
4) No external view.
5) Some traffic noise but tolerable to us.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a change from the usual boring 5 star hotels.I am happy that my children can experience Peranakan culture, since their great grandparents were Peranakan.

I was absolutely delighted to discover The Seven Terraces. Large Luxurious rooms with beds and bathrooms as you would expect in 4* hotel, wifi and beautiful flowers on the pillow included.
Magnificent ceiling showers in 'wet room' bathrooms. Very comfortable. Superb service, excellent inclusive breakfast and delightful complimentary afternoon tea. The 'special' is the difference between every chain hotel and this delightful bijoux. At Seven Terraces you feel as if you are staying as the guest in a luxury home right in the heart of Penang. The traditional architectural features, antiques and ceiling fans give the most amazing ambience. The food in the restaurants is exquisite. I look forward to returning next visit.

Room Tip: All good, we shared a suite for less than 2 rooms and had added benefit of a sitting room and large...

The renovation is truly exquisite. Love the bathroom set up. The food was fantastic - at various times, I tried all of breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cocktails in the bar were perfect.

We had a single level room, while friends had the mezzanine arrangement. We lucked out there - I think the mezzanine is basically a waste of time, and the stairs are very, very steep (which is heritage-sensitive). Ask for a single level room.

My only complaint was the noise - it can be a bit noisy. I guess there is not much insulation from the street outside.

It does not have a waterfront location. If this is important to you, then I suggest the E & O. But the E & O has no atmosphere whatsoever, compared with Seven Terraces.

Room Tip: Go for a single level room

Nice ambiance in the common areas. The room was quiet despite the central location of the hotel. Great suggestions of restaurants on map provided and from hotel management.

Very boring and unhealthy alternatives for breakfast. Only healthy alternative except for some fruit for starter was a boring müsli.

Annoying with mosquitoes in the room, electric deterrent did not work properly. Housekeeping forgot turndown one night. Not major but when I stay at a better hotel like this I don't expect glitches like that.

The webpage describe the pool as a lap pool. The pool is awkwardly placed in the lounge area and I don't know in what universe that size of pool is a lap pool. It doesn't really matter as I didn't come to this hotel to swim but still I expect a hotel webpage to be accurate.

Room Tip: Argus suite

We feel privileged to have stayed at the Seven Terraces. You get to feel like a Georgetown insider. You are staying in original Georgetown terraces renovated in keeping with the 'old style' - like stepping back in time - but the bathrooms,a/c and wifi are all perfectly functional! We stayed in the Argus Appartment Suite which blew our minds with the detail of fit out. Massive bathroom and terrace - had to be seen to be believed. And worked well to maintain the privacy of the people using the two bedrooms.
Staff all fabulous - and share all their insider knowledge with you re where to eat, shop, drink, whatever. So personal, every time you enter there is a greeting. Like coming home.
Yummy breakfasts with good (Sydney standard) coffee. And for me the very best bit is the afternoon tea they serve to all guests in the beautifully proportioned courtyard each afternoon. So civilised - you step back in to the calm of your Seven Terraces oasis from the bustle of the Georgetown streets and relax.

Room Tip: All rooms are quirky and individual. We stayed in one of the Argus two b/r appartments which was mas...
