“Shabby attraction”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2012

I would not recommend this as an attraction to any tourist, as it is incredibly shabby. There are some shops at the bottom few levels of the run-down building, and above that, it is completely dilapitated. Yep, like the barren and eerie corridors you would see in the Left-For-Dead game or other FPS games - this is not an exaggeration!

However, you can use it as a landmark to navigate your way around Georgetown (just like the BT in West London or the Eiffel in Paris), as it is the tallest building on the island.

The bus terminal is just under the building, so its likely you'll have to reluctantly visit this place a number of times if you're travelling about Georgetown. As the building has links to the shopping malls just beside, you may have to walk through an overhead walkway through Komtar to get from a building to the next, to avoid the chaos and traffic on the ground floor

“Good shopping”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2012

This mall is huge with a lot of shops: the problem is that there's always quite the same stuff in everyone. If you are looking for clothes or electronic devices this is the place to be but don't expect nothing exotic or "strange". Prices are just ok.

“Past its prime”

The building is in need of a major overhaul and renovation. It is rundown and looks sad. It houses many shops that the local folks need and provides a good study of contrast with the many new mega shopping centres on the island.

“Renovators dream”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2012 via mobile

Previous owner lovingly built this twenty years ago, needs some tlc (or a demolition crew) to make it yours. Tenants currently only on lowest three floors, rest of building accommodates rats and/or zombies.

If you're a tourist then stay well away!
