We stayed here twice because it seemed the cheapest with aircon double rooms. MR60 per night. The location was very good, short walking distance to buses, waterfront, ferry terminal, markets and cafes. Shared toilets which are tiny and are also the shower rooms! No where to put your clothes/ toiletries and floor is always wet. Bathrooms open up into shared space so privacy is limited. Beds aren't overly comfortable, mattresses thin. Some rooms seemed quieter than normal. Because of the central location, noise is naturally a problem at night. Often locked out when staff were away from the desk, but safety good on the plus side. Breakfast is toast and tea/coffee only and you need to get in early. Wifi only accessible in shared areas, slow and inconsistent. Staff were friendly except when we went out for the day and hadn't be told we needed to change rooms (we'd extended our stay the day prior), and they seemed upset at us despite staff seein us that morning and not advising us to move our gear. This backpackers has the basics but not much more.
