“Exellent location, clean and comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

Price is reasonable, clean and comfortable. Hotel is just located at the Gaya street, very near to Jesselton Point, just 5-10 mins by walk. Visitors could purchase the tickets at Jesselton Point and visit islands you want, such as Sapi, Mamutik etc. There is supermarket and convenient stores, fruit stores nearby. Famous restaurant is also several mins walk. Highly recommend.

Stayed here prior to our mt Kinabalu climb.
Strategic location with super market, shopping malls and banks nearby.
Price reasonable and very clean n comfortable.

I travel almost 2 times a year to Sabah for business and leisure, this hotel is definitely very suitable for average travelers and small group.

Our second stay at a hotel (a first in itself!). We stayed for 16 nights this year and I would recommend this hotel to anybody. We have stayed at 5 star hotels before but this hotel is better and fully deserves its high status on trip advisor. It is very comfortable and very importantly, spotlessly clean. What really sets this hotel apart is the personal and attentive service. ALL of the hotel's staff were friendly and polite and the rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard. The location of the hotel is excellent and is situated near to all the facilities (restaurants, shops, banks, shopping centre plus the ferry terminal for the boats to the islands).
A special mention must go to Ling Ling- her tremendous knowledge and helpfulness really made our stay. From booking taxis, and sound and good advice, on what to do and where to go, Ling Ling was marvellous. Thank you Ling Ling.

The front desk supervisor Ling Ling is super helpful, she is more than willing to offer you guidance to some of the local activities. The room is clean & the bed is comfortable, in fact cleaner than some of those 4 star hotel, I would definitely recommend this to the others. If you worry about no place to shower after you check out your room and so happen you plan the island activities as your last day itinerary? Don't worry, the hotel has prepared a bath room to your convenience, you can just comfortably took the shower before boarding your plane or bound to your next destination.

The staff is nice and would give advice about local activities, however the room is not that good for facing the road which was noisy even at midnight. It was even worse that we could hear the voices from our next door. But the hotel locates near to the Jesselton Point which is convient to go to the islands on Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Gain something and lose other things...

It isn't a luxury hotel but the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms clean. Very good value for money. We were out all day and only came back to sleep so it was perfect for us. Such lovely staff too, it's a welcoming place. We had some King rooms with window and a Family room for our group and everyone was very comfortable. The location is excellent at the quiet end of Gaya Street and easily walkable to the harbour and market. There is no lift and quite a big flight of stairs so get help with your luggage by pressing the button, or be prepared to use your muscles. It doesn't have a restaurant but is near many. The fancy supermarket (like Cold Storage) is handily next door as well, and you can get fresh snacks and mango smoothies at two other shops next door. So you can't book online but an email will get you a prompt reply, and it was very reliable. It's a great base and I would stay there again.

great location . during our stay we experienced 3 styles of rooms , all were clean with enough space .Beds were really comfortable , a necessity if you plan to climb mt. Kinabalu, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Shopping centres all close by and a supermarket next door . It was a slow 5 minute walk to the sea front and a further 10mins would bring you to the water front restaurants. Had a great meal at the Aussie place ,but could have ate at any of them .

Room Tip: Rooms at the front had a nice outlook but a bit of road noise . cheap room without a view was the qu...
