“Budget Transit Hotel”

Stayed there for one night while waiting for our connecting flight. I had booked an standard room but they had upgraded me to a executive freely. The executive was clean and comfortable with 6 beds and two bathroom. Clean and toiletries.

The hotel provides free shuttle service. I had made an airport pick-up and had confirmation but nobody was there waiting therefore I came to outside and found the hotel shuttle car. However, the hotel management should pay more attention to this for new comers.

Room Tip: There have no lift services and you can put your luggage at reception counter. Overdue charge for 11...

We only stayed one night, but had a good stay at the crown borneo hotel.
The free shuttle to and from the airport was great, and they also charged less than a taxi for a drive into town. Airport shuttles take priority they told us, but we were able to take advantage :)
Breakfast was included, and pretty good. They had a few selections to chose from.
Walls were very thin, so we heard people in the hallway often. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs! Bathroom was nice enough, plenty of hot water in the shower.
Also there are lots of good little restaurants around, and a 24hr convenience store.

The staffs are very helpful. Especially for traveller who is in difficulty. The good thing for this hotel is it's near to the airport and airport transfer is available, but there will be a surcharge if your flight is the early morning flight.

I booked this hotel due to it's location near to the airport.

Pros : Friendly and helpful staffs, 5mins drive to airport, clean rooms, provide free shuttle(within certain time period),quiet rooms

Cons : No lifts, small rooms, transparent bathrooms, small pillows

As I only checked in late at night, the cons does'nt bother me at all. Sleep well through whole night. I expected noise from the shops below or the departing flights nearby, but gladly there are not much of a disturbance to me.

Recommended hotel!

I stayed in The Crown Borneo Hotel with my parents for 1 night. I was glad. The room size is actually quite small. We stayed on the 3rd floor, then we found out that there was no lift on the building, we have to carry our luggage up to 3rd floor.

The greatest thing about this hotel is the location, where it is located just opposite the famous King Hu Restaurant. Besides, this hotel provide shuttle bus to/from airport. But it was chargeable on certain times.

Due to our early flight, we have to check out on 6.00am. The staff was sweet enough to offer us some American breakfast early in the morning upon check out. It was just cereal and toasts, with a cup of coffee, but it was more than enough. The staff also very kind to remind us the check in check out time and reconfirm our airport transfer arrangement.

However, if you happened to have family member whom is disabled, I do not recommend this hotel because it has no lift. But it is worthy for those budget travelers.

The free shuttle was waiting for us upon arrival and took us to the hotel which is not more than 10 minutes away. The staff was very friendly. We only needed the room until 10 pm and they were good enough to let us check in at 11 am although officially check-in time is 2 pm. The room was tiny with a queen size bed. Fortunately we could leave our big travel bags at the reception otherwise it would have been very tight. The bathroom is a glass cubicle within the room. You can lower a shade for privacy. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell but it was clean. The shuttle was there again on time when we had to leave for the airport. They offered excellent éclairs and coffee in the lobby. The coffee was quite expensive though. The hotel is located in a subdivision surrounded by restaurants and small shops. We had lunch at KFC and were very impressed with that branch. All the staff had a speech and hearing impediment but they were doing an excellent job. All in all for the short stay it was a good choice.

The location is close to the airport. Rooms are small but cosy. My room had a flat screen tv with about 11 channels. In-room coffee, tea and bottled water is provided. It also had a rainshower equipped in the bathroom. The lobby restaurant has nice pastries with scones, rum balls and eclairs. Wifi is available for guests in room and the lobby. There are local eateries within close walking distance from the hotel. A MUST try is the famous Kedai Kopi Wah Juan which sells kolo mee and is a sabahan's favorite but will sell out before noon.

Overall, this is a recommended hotel for a couple of nights stay but you are quite far from downtown though. Not as friendly if you have trouble climbing stairs as there is no elevator.
