It is a really good place to stay especially when you would like to be alone to think or have a good time with your partner. Never find a cool place in Malaysia like this.

The staff are friendly and helpful.

Hope to be there soon.

Surrounding this hotel is kept beautifully with full-grown flowers and matured trees.

My family and I stayed in House 3a & 3B which has the basic needs and is clean. Not to mention there is a balcony where you can just kick back & relax. I enjoyed my afternoon reading with my earl-grey. I just love the cooling weather.

What freaked me out the most is the steep road down from the entrance.

Aside from that, this is definitely a perfect place for those who need to escape from the bustling city life and get good breather.

We enjoyed so much the valley view from our 5A room. I can just sit there all day long without doing anything but relax. Really miss this place and definitely will book the room again in the future. The picture did the room justice. You will enjoy the promised view.

Room Tip: Choose 5A or 5B to get the best view of the valley. 5A toilets are transparent and the whole valley...

This suited us as we were looking for somewhere near enough to the park to walk in, and didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices of staying inside. As you are at altitude it is cold outside. It was a good sized room. We didnt try the tv. We ate at the cafe opp the main park entrance. We loved the location and the views. Being located down a steep drive means you are off the road and away from the traffic.

We arrived for our 3 night stay in the dark and rain, with luggage and had difficulty finding J residence as the signpost is not prominent enough. We negotiated the steep and slippery driveway with minimal lighting. Had to ring the doorbell twice before getting a lukewarm reception. No information forthcoming, no help finding the room, (which was further down the slope) and in the dark. The room was a decent size but was cold and felt damp. We immediately went to the nearest restaurant which we had been told was open until 1930 hrs. It was closed by 19:00. Incidentally, we returned to this cafe 2 evenings later at 1830 pm, it was completely shut up then, too. It was gone 10:00 pm on our first night's stay before we realised the water was cold and we didn't want to disturb the manager at that time. It was still cold the following morning. There was no TV reception, despite what we were led to believe from J Residence's website. We had been left one DVD, 2 or 3 others were added during the stay. We struggled to get our issues resolved, or to get any information about the residence, the location etc from any of the staff, who spoke little English. We can only assume that Joshua, who is mentioned in other reviews as very helpful, and had answered our emails promptly prior to our stay, was away during our stay. A repair was made to the water towards the end of day 2, resulting in warm showers, still not hot. The bathroom is very basic and open to the elements. Fortunately the duvets were necessarily snug. We were in 5B which in better weather may have had a good view but the terrace was shared with 5A, the occupants of which kept taking all the patio furniture that was originally positioned outside 5B. Our experience might have been greatly improved had the weather been better.

Very close to the front gates of the national park down a steep driveway. We had a twin room, turned out to be its own bungalow in excellent condition. Tea/coffee and DVDs. Good BBQ areas and close to cheap decent food in the restaurant opposite the park. Compared to prices inside the park which were huge, if you're a pair on a budget this is great value. Checked many places around and thought this the best value. No need to pre book park or accommodation outside peak seasons, many people just turned up and all was good.
