I stayed in a Deluxe room for 8 nights. The room I had was 1115. I booked through booking.com and got breakfast included in my deal.
I would classify this hotel as a budget hotel (3 star), but it is still a great hotel with great value for money. My room was on the 11th floor and had great views of the South China Sea. To get the kind of view I had in one of the major hotels EG: Le Meridian or Hyatt, I would've been paying 3 x the price.
The hotel is located in a great spot, right across the road from the sea, as well as Suria Sabah shopping centre. It is also a short walk from the marina and Filipino market.
There is a good travel operator included within the hotel. There are also other operators at the back of the hotel, but all the travel operators all charge roughly the same price. See Rita at the Gaya Centre, she is really switched on and will look after you well.
If there was one down side to my stay, it was that the hotel has a habit of playing music in the hallways at a very loud volume. So loud that you can hear it in your room, even above your TV. I had to ring on 3 occasions to get staff to turn it down.
Also don't use any of the taxis outside of the hotel. If you need transport to the airport, book through the travel agent, located within the hotel. It will only cost you 30 ringgit. The drivers out front will charge you more!
Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.
