What else to say? A museum. And a good one at it if i may add. Entrance fee is reasonable. If you are a foreigner, please, bring your passport. Needing sophistication? Breed the intellect within? Why yes! This is the place to be. Go for a date? Sure! Need some rest while having nothing to do in Kota Kinabalu? Why not the Museum? A short walk, 15 minutes from Karamunsing. Very informative. Such genuine. Much appreciative. The local authority has furbish the establishment with improvement. But not as par as foreign museum oversea. But still, have a go. Wont hurt does it?

If you want to learn local Sabah culture, this is probably the best place to go. The indoor part of the museum is nether large nor fancy, but does contain losts of local and historic info if you are patient enough to go through it.

Most visitors missed the Heritage Village which contains many local "Long houses". The overall setting is quite and beautiful. You will learn a lot about the local culture here, than the commercail tourist trap such as Mari Mari cultural village.

entrance fee is RM2 for Malasian and RM15 for foreigner. No photo allowed and it is good to have a visit for historical and cultural knowledge.

Good for an hour or so but the information that was presented was quite dry although useful for an introduction to the ethnic groups of Sabah. Best bit was wandering around the heritage village and also laughing at the dodgy taxidermy!

Good value for money and a welcome contrast to being outside in the heat.
It was useful for contextualising SAbah 's history, the indigenous creatures and the the variety of tribes.
