I just went today for lunch. I like the fried "basung" fish. Its fresh, sweet and crunchy. Full chicken feet is nice and seldom can be find with this type cooking method in town. Staff provided good service and friendly.

“Not up to standard”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2013 via mobile

I'm a seafood lover n I've tried almost very seafood restaurant in KK. But this is the least favourable. The choices of the food is not up to standard. It's just a normal processed seafood that u buy at the supermarket n put them there. Not many choices of cooked menu as well like fried noodles, fried rice. The dessert is sumthing that u normally prepared at home. Nothing special. The soup for the steamboat is an average chicken soup n tomyam soup. It tasted like a cube chicken stock or instant tomyam paste being boiled together with water. Never come again. Not value for money. I would rather choose other restaurant that offer a lot of food choices but same price

“Same menu since my 1st visit 2 yrs ago”

Steamboat restaurant served no pork situated in the middle of Tanjung Aru beach. Restaurant is clean and aircond is cool but the toilet is horrible. Quite cheapskate menu to be honest. They served crabstick, chicken frank, fishball, beefball, fishcakes... fresh item only a few such as beef, chicken, fish slice, prawn and some oyster. Ready cooked food plain rice, fried noodle, porridge, roasted chicken, chicken feet(omg), deep fried basung fish(side order for beer kakis). Meanwhile desserts are those homemade jellies with flavouring and colouring, cheapo sponge cakes/marble cakes and red bean with coconut milk/grass jelly drinks. Still have room for improvement.

“Windbell Seafood Restaurant”

Food are quite fantastic! The ambience is better at night. This is located at the other end of Tanjung Aru Beach, so have to be careful that the taxi is aware of the location. Best way to find way is to inform taxi that it is next to the Sabah Flying Club.
