Enjoyed our walk around the Wetland Centre, as we had not previously seen mangroves and wetlands. However we didn't see too much wildlife (but this may be due to our untrained eye!) There are a lot of nice board walks, a bird watching podium and an observatory.
Easy to reach from KK- Bus number 1 for one ringgit takes about 10 mins.

Opens at 8.00am, a good time to start before the heat and humidity takes it toll on you and the birds. Unfortunately the tide was in on our visit which meant the wading species were absent but several species that habit the mangroves including the Stork-billed Kingfisher, Pied Triller, Ashy Tailorbird and Olive-backed Sunbird added to the 14 bird species recorded in the three hours of observing. Would like to visit again at low tide to see some of the migrants that pass through the area.

A group of 6 including 3 elderly and a kid enjoy our tour to KK Sabah this Easter Holiday.
Not only the attractions and food but also the people we met especially Christ.

My bad experience is that my uncle got seriously ill at the end of the trip and need to be have urgent hospital service. Without Christ assistance, I can't imagine whether I could manage it.

Thanks Christ and hope all of you as lucky as I am.

Went there in the afternoon, about an hour before (not on purpose) bird feeding time, which made for a "quiet" visit to the wetlands, walking on the wooden walkways, looking at the various lakes and hearing the little "red crabs" plopping as they got out of their "holes" ? When tens and tens do that simultaniously, it makes for a wonderful plopping concert ! Towards the end of the walkway, there is an observation house, where you can sit and watch the birds flying and feeding when the time is right. Didn't encounter many people, which was fine by me, but one hopes there are enough to sustain this lovely wetland preservation. One hardly hears citiy traffic. There is a watchtower at some point, and the view is delightful over all those gorgeous trees.

I probably went at the wrong time of day, but the wildlife consisted of egrets, egrets, and more egrets.

It was deserted and peaceful though
