“Very Good 3 Star Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2014

I tried to find a good hotel in very short time end of August 2014. Most of the good price hotel were fully book. This Klagan hotel also full via booking.com, agoda & telephone call. But I managed to book via Hotelopia.com. It just a 3 star hotel but the price are very high.

But once I entered the lobby & my Superior room, it worth to stay. The room was very big, clean & there is a red cosy chair inside the room. My room just facing other shop lots. But the view from 12 floor restaurant is sooo amazing facing the sea waterfront. Lots choices of breakfast menus.

They have free wifi but not so good connection.

Heyyy...the have a small swimming pool, enough for u to relax there...

Good location, within walking distance to the markets, waterfront, eateries, malls. Room was pretty spacious for hotel of its class. Neat and clean too. Staffs were very accomodative. For the price and service, it's worth!!!

I stayed in this hotel a few years back when it was under a different name i.e. Imperial International Hotel. I stayed again recently for business function. Most things maintained in place: good services, rooms are clean, facilities are well maintained and of course its ideal location bring central in KK and close to everywhere. The red revolving couch is still there and it's unique. The restaurant is located on the roof top which is actually the 11th floor. One physical change is the Klagan Lounge which was part of the lobby under the previous management. The function hall is large and is next door to the Wanyan Rooftop cafe'. Great sea views can be enjoyed from the cafe. For those who want to be within walking distance to places like the waterfront where the foodstalls, seafood restaurants, pubs, bars and of course the handicraft stalls and the Centrepoint Shopping Mall, this is the ideal choice. It is centrally located within the Warisan Square complex which houses many restaurants, 24-hour convenience stores, tour agencies, health spas, massage and reflexology centres, souvenir shops and two smaller hotels.

Red distinctive eye-catching couch caught my attention immediately. open up the curtain, you will see the sea filled with boats, sun set on this beautiful coast. Internet Wifi connection is not too bad. High ceiling in my room. I missed the breakfast due to a morning flight out but the receptionist offered to-go. Power point is good and working.
No brownout.
Location I would say it perfect if you like to grab some local snacks.
I would say it is suitable for family as well.

Stayed here for one night only during business trip in Kota Kinabalu. Checkin handled swiftly by the staff. Welcome drink coupon peovided but not breakfast. Floor plan arrangement a bit confusing. Bed a little bit hard. Equipped with medium sized lcd TV. No view in room, facing wall of next door building.

Klagan Hotel was aimply amazing. Shower was strong and warm water was hot enough. Newspaper was provided daily and staff was ultra nice.

Beds and sleep was good here, and its central to everything like night life, shopping and food. Parking is also complimentary and a plenty.

The downside of Klagan Hotel is the limited breakfast selection, and getting signaturs/stamp for your complimentary parking can be quite a hassle.
