Everything is Great, service, views, people, activities...You will never regret to be here! The most valuable things are service and facilities which bring you a feeling of home and a easy life at hotel. The most surprising thing is various activities within the hotel are offered every single day. You don't need to worry about getting bored. The hotel thinks everything for you.

Firstly, the beach is really small here compared to Rasa Ria. But the pool is wonderfully enjoyed by the kids. They have an ice cream bar area for them too. In Tanjung Aru, it is very easy to go island hopping with the star marina which is located beside the hotel. If you like sea sports, you can choose the range of water sports activities that they offered. Club lounge offers a good variety of snacks and the longest happy hour I ever encountered. It is good that they allow children to the lounge between 4.30pm to 6.30pm and adults only from 6.30pm onwards. They even change the food cater to adults.
The hotel is located near to the city centre so they do not provide shuttle bus like Rasa Ria. It costs 30 ringget one way to travel to the centrepoint or nearby areas. Rooms are spacious and clean. Gym is much bigger than Ria and different types of equipment. Breakfast is good with a variety of local and international food. Service was just as good as Rasa Ria. The Italian restaurant Peppino is good but costly compared dining at the waterfront Italian restaurant Gusto which was just as good. I guess U paid more for the ambience and service. Staying in Aru is so convenient that you don’t have to be stuck and dine in the hotel, you can travel out easily to town and have more dining options.
I had stayed in both Tanjung Aru and Rasa Ria. To choose between these 2, it depends on what you are after. If you prefer convenient, shopping, water sports and more kids friendly, it will be Tanjung Aru. But if it is golf, beach, nature, quiet and more relax ambience, it will be Rasa Ria. Else, try both.

Nice enough hotel but the beach is very small and the sea was very merky & uninviting! I saw sewage pipes pumping sewage into the sea further along the public beach at Tangun Arun. The hotel is really expensive (around £50per night for two people) so you may wish to get a cab and eat at the city centre. It is cheaper to catch a cab from outside the hotel rather than book a cab from the hotel. If you walk to the end of the road outside the hotel there are plenty of cheaper cabs. The hotel spa is also ridiculously expensive but again if you get a cab into the city centre there are plenty of wonderful spas for a fraction of the price. Try Jari Jari. If you want a great beach go for the sister hotel Sangri La Rasa Ria. It is a long way from the city centre but the beach is amazing.

We stayed for 4 nights in a seaview room. View are breath taking. Lovely balcony Breakfast was good with great variety. Dinner buffet was plain. Sunset bar and coco joe's bar have great food. especially the grill chicken wing. Great friendly staff, always there to help. The only thing to complain is on the first night, when we start to bath. the water was brown even when we ran the water for over 20 mins. the answer we got was it was polluted from outside and it will clear soon. we waited for 2 hours but still brown. we couldn't wait so we took a shower. when i wipe my hair the towel is brown. i know there's nothing the hotel can do but this is not i expect from a five star hotel....

Very good location, the hotel has it's own bench, a lot of bench charis, we may find it for relay anywhere. Swiming pool is wonderful, good for both kids and adults. Kids playing facility is excellent, my son and I had a lot of fun there.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of our Borneo holiday. It's a huge resort, with all the amenities but, not being a resort sort of person, I was quite bored. My husband enjoyed the gym and pool though. The little beach was nice for a swim but nothing like the lovely beaches we have in Australia. The food was excellent and we had no trouble ordering from the a la carte menu instead of paying for a buffet we had no hope of getting value from. If you're a big eater, you'll be very happy. Our room in the Tanjung wing was lovely, with a view over the South China Sea and the room staff were all lovely and very friendly. In fact the resort's greatest asset is its staff. Basically, your wish is their command. The ladies in the bar area were just gorgeous. The resort's location so close to the airport is excellent too.

This is our first trip to KK and we are going to celebrate our Anniversary. Before arrival I have send e-mail to re-confirm our celebration and the hotel has told us that they can offer a cake and the Anniversary set up but during our stay we have got nothing.
Although there is some disappointment, we still enjoy our stay.
We have joined the transfer to Sapi Island, I know the rate is a bit higher than outside, but their service is excellent, they provided a guide for us and he look after all our belonging during the day.
The Spa is good as well!
We stay in the Tanjung Aru Wing, the room is a bit dated but still comfort, must go for the sea view and away from the Pool Area.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must! Away from the Pool Area
