Great time. Used hair salon, excellent. Rooms well maintained with helpful, friendly staff. Concierge all you would expect. Great variety of restaurants, pools and activities. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ocean views from most rooms.

I decided to stay in this hotel to attend the international food science conference, which was held in this hotel itself. The room was rather dull, lack of room lights and this caused me having problems in reading. There was complimentary breakfast and the choices of breakfast were limited and repeated every single day. There was shuttle bus to KK city every hour and they charged RM 3 per trip. It was free if you took the shuttle bus from KK city back to hotel. As a guest of the hotel, complimentary free shuttle bus should be provided. With the rating of 4/5 stars, I would expect the room conditions and services to be at least similar to other 5 stars hotel such as Hilton and Shangri-La.

Just came back from a holiday. Totally enjoyed ourselves & had a fabulous time in Pacific Sutera. The staff was excellent in their service especially Mr Bryan for his helpfulness & great smiles. The facilties are great & breakfast was excellent. The thing which I have been observing during my stay down there, the male staff are more friendly & smile more. We will be staying there in future. The minus point was the water heater in the bathtub was not working. They should install a mini shower hose beside the toilet bowl for Muslim visitors.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the sea view.

We stayed at The Magellan Sutera last April 2012.The hotel was just 10 minute ride from the airport. We booked 4 rooms however they failed to locate the 4 rooms adjoining (in spite of prior request) so our rooms were placed in scattered floors. However, this was compensated by the beautiful of the rooms. The interior was excellent plus the housekeeping cleaned the room twice a day. Sadly our balcony was not seaview. They have an hourly service bus to the town with a fee of RM3 per person which was convenient for us as we did not rent any car/van at KK. The beach area was surprisingly small so the kids prefers the pool rather than the beach. Overall, the hotel live up to its reputation gorgeous and luxury!

Whenever we go back to KK (where most of my Malay family live) we always stay at the Sutera Harbour Resort. We have always found the staff incredibly helpful and we like the luxurious settings. Definitely worth the 5* it is listed as. Waking up to beautiful sea views every morning is wonderful. The spa is also top notch and perfect for helping you unwind (not that you would have much to stress about in paradise!). The breakfast selection is one of the best I have seen.

I am thoroughly excited about returning to the Sutera Harbour Resort this October with my parents and boyfriend where we will be staying for three weeks!

Room Tip: Always go for the sea view rooms for the premier views!

Located at the shore with a little private beach, the Hotel is just 10mins ride from the airport and to the city center. With own shuttle bus to and form the city center, it is very convenience for dinning and shopping. Also with its own cruise team and pier, it just take 15 mins to the Marine Park (ie, the Sapi Island, Mamutik Island, Manukan Island etc.) and when back, you can just back to room for shower or enjoy the sunset in the pool. Overall environment is great and the pool and service is nice.

We stayed here for 5 nights to relax after trekking in eastern Sabah. I find it hard to get excited by this type of hotel / resort but i could not fault this one in anyway (except how dark the bar area was, the staff need miners helmets to work) The room was top notch, balcony faced west over the sea and in line with the sunset, staff were very attentive and the food selection at breakfast exceptional. An hourly shuttle bus in to town makes eating out or shopping nice and easy. facilities within the resort are good, a cinema, a bowling alley and countless bars, restaurants and cafes make for an interesting time. This resort also runs the North Borneo Railway. This runs twice a week and is an excellent trip down the coast.
