I totally love their steam kaya butter bread (white bread texture is much better than the wholemeal ones). Find their toast bread not as impressive. A place to get halal dim sum. A variety of economy breakfast choice (noodles, porridge, kuihs, fried wantons etc). Drinks are just OK. Overall, I would recommend this place mainly because of the steam bread. must try!

I am guessing this restaurant is one of the must-eat places among the tourists as I saw quite a number of tourists having breakfast the last time I was there.

I felt that it's a little expensive but then it depends on what food you take. They have a variety of local dish for you to choose and there's dim sum too. I expected more from their roti kahwin (which is bread with kaya (a type of jam made with eggs and sugar mostly) and butter slices) as I've heard raving reviews of it but they just looked normal to me, the coffee shop next door serves a better roti kahwin in my opinion. But I have to say, their bread is very soft.

The most popular coffee shop in Kota Kinabalu having branches in Damai (original store), Asia City, Jalan Gaya & Kolombong. It has popularized the eating of freshly baked bread with kaya & a thick slice of cold butter, yes sound scary but worth a try!
