Helpful staff and nice seafood at a reasonable price. Fresh live seafood and quite a lot on the menu. Near Centrepoint Mall. Very nice.

It's located next to the carpark outside Cititel Express Hotel. Unlike Twin-Sky Seafood Restaurant which serves mainly tourists, Ikan-Ikan is also popular to locals. That's why the prices are also cheaper here. Good variety of basic seafood. But if you are looking for expensive seafood (like lobster, Mantis Prawn), more choice at Twin-Sky. Delicious crab with salted egg yolks.

Just had dinner at Ikan-Ikan Live Seafood tonite. Restaurant set up and ambience is nice. Place is clean. proper menu given, but selection of available seafood for tonite is not as wide as in SEDCO Seafood corner, KK.

I had mantis cooked in chinese wine, steamed crab, stir fried vegetables, seashell cooked with garlic, one glass of ice lemon tea and 1 glass of iced plum with lime . The last dish was a bit too salty to my liking and had the dish returned to be redone. My bill came up to RM105.50 for 1 person.,

I would have also ordered a Four King Seafood for RM108 if I had more company, it is a combination of crabs, lobster, prawns and scallop.

For me the food is just ok, but the clean ambience more than make up for it. Oh by the way, the waitress also kept changing my plates too. Service is good.

The things that are top of the list here:
1. Steamed prawns - no need for sauces and stir fry. The prawns are fresh, crunchy and naturally sweet. Excellent.

2. Steamed hybrid garoupa - really fresh with that meaty garoupa smoothness. Steamed in fragrant soy sauce. Very good.

3. Crab cooked in salted egg - sounds bizarre but a surprisingly nice combination. If you're not feeling adventurous, try the crab cooked in pepper instead.

4. Coconut pudding - it comes in the whole coconut. Subtly fragrant and just the right amount of sweet too.

5. Durian fritters - only for the adventurous. Not everyone's cup of tea but for those who like durian, worth a try. I prefer fresh durian personally.
