Overall not particularly impressed with this relatively pricey and new restaurant.

The food we had was pretty good without being anything special. We ordered mainly western dishes so I would like to go back and try the local dishes at some point. Service was the main problem. The waiters were attentive but poorly trained and didn't seem to know the menu at all. On the night we dined there they were completely out of all desserts by 730pm. If you dine outside you are a few feet away from busy two lane road so traffic noise is a problem. Parking is also very limited so it's better to park either at the beach or in the park and walk. I

What a lovely modern restaurant, with authentic and tasty Malaysian food. The food was outstanding, and there was plenty to choose from - the best dish was the randang. Being Malaysian - it is a dry restaurant - ie no alcohol, but definitely worth a visit.

This is a new restaurant located in Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu,Sabah in walking distance from tanjung Aru 2nd Beach dan Perdana Park. Originally it was a bungalow and now transformed into a cosy reataurant. This restaurant serves both asian and western cuisine. The best thing about this restaurant is most probably for its environment. Its a bit classier and so goes with the presentation and food price. For muslim patrons, I did not see any Halal certificate (when I went in to look around), but they do not serve alcohol and pork. Food ordered tasted great butthe portion of the rice was 'tiny'. An extra serving of rice per person is RM3.

We ordered Nasi Sambal Sotong and Nasi with Rendang Tok. Tasted great, with the exception of the small portion of rice and 'not so good' acar. Everything else were great. The atmosphere was not disturb with any loud conversations from other tables. It kinda a formal restaurant but you can dress freely. Lightings were great which contributes more to make the restaurant look classier.

Staff were very attentive. Parking however will be a bit problem if patrons come and fill up all the tables. During my visit, it was about 50 % full, but one can always 'play' around with any sides outside the restaurant to park. To be more precise, the restaurant is located in the corner going into the Casuarina Hotel Tanjung Aru. Overall, I am satisfied with the product and service quality. No tipping needed.
