We had arranged to stay at the Marlin Inn over the weekend of the Rainforest Festival, but when we arrived, we were told that the price would be 20RM per night more than we were quoted when we booked. Despite the fact that the sign in their lobby stated 77RM per night, and the fact that the Rainforest Festival website stated the Marlin Inn charged even less than that, they weren't willing to accept that we had been quoted 77RM per night when we booked, two months in advance, or to honour this price. Perhaps they were aware that as it was 11PM on the first night of the festival, most places would be booked up then - and so they were trying to make some easy money. Luckily, we managed to find alternative accomodation at short notice, and were able to avoid giving any money to the Marlin Inn, Kuching. I strongly recommend everyone else does the same - they cannot be trusted.
