First impression: This hotel looks a lot better from the outside. Staff are not the friendliest, and the common areas are sparsely furnished and look worn.
The room: Basic furnishings and amenities. The only thing noteworthy was that the room key card was of a "tap to open" type, which I was surprised to find in a lower end property like this. Internet was included in the room charge, and for my room, there was adequate signal. However, my brother had a room down the hall, and the wifi signal was pretty much non-existent there.
Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was part buffet and part a-la-carte. You order your main course off the menu (local and western selections) and there was a buffet of bread, fruit, juices and coffee/tea. The best thing about this hotel to me, was the fried rice noodles that you could order for breakfast. It was delicious!
In summary: For the money you pay, you are better off staying elsewhere. Kuching has a lot of hotel choices and I would simply go with one of the better rated ones on Tripadvisor.More
