A quick get away beach if you arent planning for an overnight stay. Convenient as there is a food court and seafood restaurant within and not to mention a 7-11 convenience store.

Food @ the food court is not bad @ all!! We had fried rice (spicy) with lemon chicken, butter chicken with plain rice (both from stall no 9 - fast service with such a heavy crowd), fried malay style noodles (stall no 10 - very very slow) and roti canai (stall no 7 - pretty good and fast). HOWEVER, the amount of flies that were swarming around was alarming and disgusting. I really hope that SEDC (saw their signage on all stalls) will do something abojr this. Doesn't inspire much confidence in hygiene for a food court to be so infested with flies.

After a sticky and sandy play @ the beach, one can opt to have a cold shower with towel rental facility as well. There are also locker rental facility. Very convenient indeed but am not sure of the security as we didnt try it out. If you have your own towels, just pay RM2.00 per person for admittance to have your cold shower with a small bottle of shower gel.

All in all a nice getaway for the day @ the beach.

I was on a bloggers invitation when I went and stayed in Damai Central. This newly constructed attraction is sleek and modern. The building is an arch shape, with the most expensive hornbill landmark at one end and spacious parking lots on the other. There is an amphitheatre where you get to watch some recent movies with price as low as RM5. And a 7-eleven convenient shop. I particularly like Ridge Fine Seafood Restaurant, that serves nice seafood, with price slightly more expensive than those in town. At 35km away from town center, and the beautiful ambience, I say it is worth every penny spent. However, if you are still very much budget concerned, there is a common food court too. Food price ranges from RM2 to RM6. Alternatively, you can just walk over to eat at the cafeteria in Cultural Village which is just a stone's throw away. In the evening, you can walk far out on the sea bed. Just remember to come back in before high tide. The tide schedule can be obtained at the information counter.

So many flies that it's incredible this place has been allowed to serve food and beverages. Very poor hygiene judging by the number of flies flying.
