“Home away from home!”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

Glad to feel home away from home at the Kebun Residences. A nice and quiet residence of Adrian and Olivia's in the city. Swimming pool just by the side of our 'home' was the best way to cool and relax at the end if the day. The 3 nights stays was a bit too short as there were plenty to do but however we get to taste great good just within 5 Minutes drive from the residences. A perfect spot to get around as the airport is only 10 minutes away and 20 minutes from the city! Thanks to Olivia for the very lovely dinner she prepared on our last night and her daughter Nafezah for sending us to the airport so early.

We stayed at the residences for 5 nights. Nafeeza picked us up from Kuching airport and informed that the nice car she was driving was ours to use for the duration of our stay. Bonus!
Our beakfasts by the pool served by Roz and Koos ( I hope I spelt that correctly ) were dlightful. Food courts galore close by where you may be the only European looking person there. The dogs were a nice bonus for us, felt very safe.If I had one criticism it is this. Maybe a place to hang some clothes in the bedroom. Thats it.
With the gps help, driving in Kuching and beyond was a breeze. Good drivers there but not such good parkers. One day my wife stayed in while I went to Bako and was asked to join the family for lunch, she politely declined as she didn't want to impose. But thanks for asking, nice touch.

Hi,
We stayed here for one night having stayed at the beautiful Kebun for 10 days previous.
When we booked our holiday we thought we would have too book a hotel in Kuching for one night prior to our early flight back to the UK, but no,"Adrian to the rescue". Adrian owns both The Kebun and The Residences and offered us this as part of our package.
It is a lovely little self contained appartment which has everything you need for a short stay.It is in the grounds of his family home. there is a beautiful pool which you can use (we didn`t as we had packed everything and didn`t fancy taking wet cosies back)
It is in a residential area and I must admit we didn`t find it easily even with the Sat Nag, but believe it has now had a name put outside, and don`t be put off by the large white fence all around , there are large gates around the corner but you don`t access the property through these but throught the white fence with it`s hidden electric gates (you do get given a key for these) I think Adrian has planted things against the fence to make it more appealing now.
It was a little noisy with youngsters on their motorbikes going past, but if you are on your way home it reminds you of what`s too come and if you are going on to The Kebun you will have the pleasant surprise of the jungle sounds ( some off those frogs are pretty noisy!)
All in all The Residences serves it`s purpose. It is close to the airport so very easy for staying in on either your first or last night of your hols and also if you felt the need to stay a little closer too the city to do some exploring for a couple of days it would be great and have the added bonus of a pool!
