“Buy goods from Indonesia at lower price.”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

If you are tourist and looking for Sarawak Souvenir (eg: keychain, sarawak words printed on tshirt etc) you are not advised to get it from here. Pasar Serikin is the border of Indonesia and Malaysia (Sarawak) so most of the sellers are selling goods from Indonesia. Feel free to buy fabrics, rattan mat, household from Indonesia etc at the cheaper price and dont forget to bargain. Do not forget to wear hat.

ps/ Nasi Ayam Penyet at the restaurant near the Pasar Serikin was Yummeh!

“Varities of Choice.”
Reviewed 27 December 2013

Spend the weekend browsed the various stalls selling variety of products from jungle produce, cloths, handicrafts, different type of stones for jewellery, household items and many more. Not forgetting the famous Sarawak Rattan Mat. The products are reasonable priced and quality wise also reasonably good. Recommended a place for bargain hunter.

“A weekend border market”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Take a 90 minutes drive from Kuching to the border of Sarawak and Indonesia to see the produce on sale by traders from Indonesia and Sarawak. Come in early morning (before 9am) to beat the crowd and the humid hot weather but do take your time to walk all the way to the end of this market where the local vegetable sellers congregate. This market has interested hand-made and antique items on sale and they would expect you to bargain for items that interests you.

“Interesting place to visit for a lazy weekend morning ”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 via mobile

I went to this place not expecting much but when I arrived I was simply blown away by the colors and sounds of this vibrant market in the middle of nowhere! Here you will find rattan furnitures, handicrafts, souvenirs, traditional wear etc. It is very interesting and worth a visit even though it is very hot! Bring lots of water and wear hat .
