Takes a bit of getting to but some interesting jungle trails and handy for Matang (same ticket does both) and the fairy/wind caves

We stayed overnight in the hostel building provided by the park. It was the middle of the week and we were lucky to have the place to ourselves. The weekends seems to be very busy and you should book well ahead. The facilities were great, they had a cooker, kettle, fridge and all kitchenware to use. There is no shops within the park so you have to bring your own food. The place was very quiet and relaxing, the trails very well signposted and easy to follow, beautiful scenery with nearly 100 different palm species! the frog pond is a must do in the evening- you won't be disappointed! Just bring a good torch. Highly recommended.

We did the waterfall trial during the day and returned to the frog pond in the evening which was a real adventure with all the sounds of the frogs calling to each other. Kids had a blast and we only managed to leave because they were too tired already from a day's trekking.

The boatride itself was amazing; it was misty and the scenes were breathtaking. The treks are well laid out. We didn't see anyone for hours as we trekked, but we did see amazing views of beaches, waterfalls, forests and the local wildlife. This included monkeys, birds and pigs. The cafe is great and cheap with surprisingly good curries. Take lots of water as it gets very hot.

A great place to trek, enjoy nature .... and even more surprisingly with no one around ...

I just wonder how come no one goes there ...
