The room was great, clean after renovate. Non smoking room. The bath room nice. recommended high floor and facing the iconic Waterfront. Comfortable bed and very fluffy pillows. Got Astro channels and the signal was good. I would like to stay at this hotel again for family vacations.

Room Tip: Higher floor to enjoy the view of Kuching city.

This hotel is newly renovated so it feels new. The views a good, the location is excellent. The front desk staff are friendly but they have issues settling computer generated issues,- I was checking in my camera crew and half of us were staying 1 night and 2 of us were staying 3 nights and the front desk girl mixed the names up and then could not figure out how to reassign the rooms according to the correct names of the people who were staying 3 nights. I think this comes with a lack of training on the management side because the girl was very sweet and tried her best to solve this issue by calling over her manager, who ALSO couldn't figure out how to change the names on each room. So after a very tiring day of filming, me and my crew had to stand at the front desk for an additional 20 minutes because of this small issue that the staff could not solve. More training of the staff is definitely required to bring the customer experience level up.

Room service food was decent.

ROOMS on the front side of the hotel are EXTREMELY NOISY. You can loudly hear motorcycles zooming past the rooms all day and night until 5 AM. If you are a light sleeper, you make sure you get a room facing the back of the hotel that is not facing the main road - you'll thank me for this tip!

If you are looking for a good value hotel at the iconic Waterfront, then you can consider this hotel. The room we stayed (superior twin) was spacious and clean. Do ask for the view of the Waterfront when you make the booking.

Something to note though, if you drive, there's actually very limited parking space on site and when you have to park outside at the paid parking area, you have to park at your own risk, especially at night, considering there are many pubs too in the area, that some drunken people might scratch or smash your car, which happened to me(could be just unlucky) and the reason I gave 3 star for this review. Otherwise the hotel is sure good for its location.

Stayed three nights during my conference at this hotel. Location is five stars, but the hotel is three stars and the staffs are just average. This hotel can be reached from airport about 30 minutes. Across the road is the waterfront and a Taoism temple which was considered the oldest in Sarawak. Carpenter street is just two minutes walk although nothing special except some restaurant and cafe. The famous Cat Statue and Padungan street is just five minutes walk to the right. The new attraction Darul Hana Bridge and Dewan Undangan Negeri (the icon of Kuching) is just three minutes walk and even you see it from room if your room is facing the river and at high floor. The lobby is so so, individual chairs and not comfortable to sit except you are just waiting for somebody to fetch you. The room is quite old style, the aircondition is cold and adjustable. In room there is free coffee and tea facilities. Bathroom has some amenities including a liquid soap and soap bar. The bed is hard but it is quite normal in most of Malaysia hotels. Did not bookthe breakfast as Kuching is so famous with the food. Most of the food stalls open as early as 6:30 Morning with plenty of choice from Kuching famous Kolo noddles to western cooked breakfast (English breakfast). A big mall called Plaza Merdeka is just less than five minutes walk. You can buy everything at the mall as there is a big supermarket in the mall and department store(Parkson). In front of the mall is another huge park. Surrounding the mall are eating place. Considered the price of hotel, it is quite recommended if you are looking the best location without paying expensive. Last but not least, the staffs are not too helpful.

Room Tip: Look for rooms facing the river.
