Fairly standard business / tourist class hotel, unassuming and simple, but clean. room is fine, air conditioning decent, water pressure good with adequate hot water. Negatives are that there it's rather far from the town with nothing much beside it except a shopping mall. Breakfast is provided with a typical simple but filling asian / western selection. There is a pool and a fitness room, but hours aren't good; closing at 9pm (way too early).

Room :
I stayed in the superior king room and it was sparkling clean! The bed was very comfortable and you have all the amenities you need in the bathroom - shampoo, shaver, toothbrush etc. You have 24 hour room service too. We ordered the red velvet cheesecake from it and it was really good!
Breakfast :
The breakfast provides a generous variety of food. You got all the standards like an omelette station, self-service toast stations and cereal stations. They even have local delicacies like Laksa Sarawak, nasi lemak and chicken porridge. The nasi lemak was good but the laksa sarawak could be better in my opinion.
Location :
The hotel is situated in the same building as a shopping mall. The shopping mall has all the basics but not exactly with the best shopping experience. I recommend Vivacity Megamall if you want to go for a better shopping experience and variety. Getting to the town centre, you certainly need to book a taxi or Grab (local e-hailing service). There’s a taxi stand right downstairs of this hotel and you can easily get a Grab car in this location.
Overall it was a really great stay and most certainly value for money. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Imperial Hotel!

The view was impressive, nothing was broken when we came. The only negatives I have was the wifi disconnecting regularly from the entire room, or when cleaners would come up, and sometimes they forget to empty the bins (and small things like that).

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights recently. I was there to conduct a 2 day training programme for a client and the training was conducted in a function room within the hotel.In all my previous visits to Kuching, I had stayed at the Holiday Inn as well as at the Kuching Hilton.
The hotel has an impressive and spacious lobby.The Front Office was manned by 2 ladies who were both friendly and efficient.The hotel room I got was a big one and well furnished as well as clean. The fittings in the room as well as in the spacious toilet were of a high standard and clean.
The bed I had was very comfortable. The only restaurant in the 200 plus room hotel located just minutes away from the airport was large and well patronised. The food served for buffet breakfast was commendable but not great in terms of choices. But the staff at this restaurant were courteous and helpful.
There is also a small, cosy Lobby Lounge near the Front Desk. It is manned by a single but friendly lady. I also ordered Room Service one night and had their famous Sarawak Laksa for dinner. It was a generous portion and tasty.
There is also another Imperial Hotel in the city centre. Taxi fare to the city centre or back to the hotel is RM 25.00 ( standard fare ). If I am going there to meet with clients / friends or to explore the city, it is a better option to stay in a city centre hotel.

the hotel is located quite near to the airport and attached to the shopping mall. perfect stop for a business traveler.
