We stayed one night at the Imperial hotel due to attending a wedding there, which included a traditional tea ceremony. Whilst I would not choose to stay here as a tourist due to its location (we prefer to be in the centre) the hotel was comfortable and had many facilities around it.
It is a few miles from the centre and joined to a large shopping mall containing food outlets, some tech stores and generally what you would expect of a big mall, including a large lower floor supermarket.
The foyer is large and check in was quick considering how busy it was (two weddings that night, one with 890 guests, so well over 1000 visitors). The lifts are fairly public as people need to get to the large ballrooms on the eight floor so they can get crowded at times. The room we had was fairly well light with artificial light but dull if relying on natural light, as it looked directly into the adjacent condos. The bathroom has a bath and walk in shower, well equipment and overall lit was a very spacious room. Comfortable just not exciting – which is not a problem. Value was excellent.
It’s a big hotel, lacking a bit of personality as a result, but fine for a short stay.
